Gloucester’s newly refurbished GO Outdoors store is now fully open and will host a Grand Opening Event to celebrate the refresh on Saturday 29th March 2025.
The Mayor of Gloucester, Councillor Lorraine Campbell, will be in attendance to cut the ribbon, and Store Manager Ellis Morgan will greet the first 200 groups through the doors with a free goody bag. One of the goodie bags will include a golden ticket worth £100 in-store, and two will include a silver ticket worth £50.

The celebrations will continue throughout the day with family entertainment, including a DJ and a balloon modeller.

The newly refurbished store offers ample free customer parking and will stock a wide range of unbeatable brands, such as Rab, OEX, and Berghaus, as well as trusted brands like Peter Storm, Hi-Gear, and Brasher. Customers can also browse Bike365, Naylors, and Fishing Republic concessions within the store.

The Gloucester store is also home to an American Golf concession, which will be adding to the excitement by hosting competitions during the opening event:

  • Straightest Drive Challenge – The winner will receive a custom fit driver worth up to £529.

  • Pressure Putt Challenge – Successfully sink each putt on the pressure mat for a chance to win a brand-new putter.

The 49,600+ft store offers services such as boot and rucksack fitting, bike servicing, and golf club fitting.

Store manager Ellis Morgan looks forward to the opening and says: “We are extremely excited and proud to open Gloucester’s newly refurbished GO Outdoors.

“We have had a brilliant couple of years at GO, as more and more people are reaping the benefits of the outdoors for their physical and mental well-being, and this expansion is the outcome of that success.

“We’re looking forward to offering more customers our unbeatable range of outdoor clothing, footwear, and equipment whilst also supporting local communities and offering jobs in Gloucester.”

GO Outdoors Gloucester store details:

  • Address: 98-108 Barton St, Gloucester GL1 4DZ.
