A new GO Outdoors store is set to open on November 14th in Northampton, with a grand opening event to be held on Saturday 22nd November.

Former England Footballer and keen angler David Seaman will officially cut the ribbon at 9am on Saturday 22nd November, welcoming in customers and taking part in a Q&A and meet and greet that morning. The first 200 customers through the doors will receive an envelope containing the chance to win a £500 gold voucher, two £200 silver vouchers, and two £50 bronze vouchers to spend in-store.

Queuing customers will receive a free hot drink from the on-site coffee van. Celebrations will continue throughout the day, with raffle prizes to be won and entertainment including a DJ, balloon modeller and face painter for the whole family to enjoy. But it doesn’t stop there! Dometic will be hosting an in-store treasure hunt, with lucky customers finding branded prizes worth up to £750.

Also in-store, drinkware brand Yeti is offering an engraving service for personalising any product bought on the day, and Jack Wolfskin will be challenging customers to crack the code to their safe, with a Jack Wolfskin jacket and other prizes up for grabs.

Elsewhere, American Golf will be putting golf enthusiasts to the test, hosting a straightest drive competition with the chance to win a custom-fit driver worth up to £529, and a pressure putt challenge, with a £250 American Golf voucher to be won. There are also 50 goodie bags available for the first customers who spend over £50.

Spanning over 44,000 square feet, the new store will offer free customer parking and will stock a wide selection of top outdoor brands, including Rab, OEX, and Yeti, as well as trusted brands like Peter Storm, Garmin and Berghaus.

The new store features a Leisure Lakes cycling department, a fishing range with a Fishing Republic concession and a Naylors equestrian range, as well as climbing, running and American Golf departments! Boot and rucksack fitting services will also be on offer.

20 new team members have been recruited to help support the store’s operations, with the store employing 40 staff in total.

A spokesperson for the store comments: “We are over the moon to be opening the doors of our new GO Outdoors store, and to bring the best in outdoor equipment and apparel to the people of Northampton.

“Our team here is full of outdoor enthusiasts who take pleasure in helping inspire and equip others for whatever adventure they’re gearing up for. From dog walkers, golfers, anglers and equestrians, to festival goers and mountaineers, everyone is welcome – and there is something for everyone!

“The team can’t wait to celebrate on November 22nd, and we hope to see the local outdoor community come out in force for a fun-filled day.”

GO Outdoors Northampton’s address is St James Retail Park, Towcester Rd, Northampton, NN1 1EE.
