GoGo squeeZ SINGLES join Bel UK’s mission to give convenience shoppers healthier snacking choices

GoGo squeeZ SINGLES GoGo squeeZ, the 100% real fruit smoothie snack from Bel UK has launched handy singles pouches specifically for the convenience channel to help retailers offer children – and their parents – a more nutritious snacking choice on-the-go as part of Bel’s wider snack healthy and live fully mission.

The convenient, 90g squeezy pouches genuinely provide kids with 1 of their 5-a-day yet contain 70% less sugar than many other kids snacking products, addressing one of the biggest snack dilemmas facing parents – finding nutritious snacks with no added sugar (69%) that appeal to their children (58%). They’re also a source of fibre, helping kids to feel fuller for longer when they’re out and about.

Grab ‘n’ Go

The new GoGo squeeZ singles (RRP £1.20 per pouch) in three fruity flavours – Apple Strawberry, Apple Mango and Multifruit, join the convenience channel-friendly, Grab & Go Flow Packs for Babybel Original and Babybel Protein, which launched last year.

Recyclable on-the-go or in home recycling, like GoGo SqueeZ the grab & go packs are aimed at healthier snacking moments that call for nutritious, portable and portion-controlled products.  Each contains two 20g portions designed as a quick bite on the move or as an easy snack swap in meal deals.  Babybel Protein, with 15 % more protein than Original, is aimed at busy adults looking for a protein-rich bite.

Healthier choices

Bel UK’s new foray into packs aimed specifically at convenience stores sees it championing healthier and more sustainable food for all across key snacking categories including cheese and fruit & vegetables.

Says Emily Lea, head of category & customer strategy, Bel UK: “Bel is set to play a key role in the future of healthier snacking, collaborating with our industry partners to drive healthier snacking –  that’s why we are putting even more investment into innovation and into engaging educational initiatives to encourage healthier choices.

“We want to create snacks that kids will love while connecting with parents on an emotional level, going beyond the basic functional, ‘healthier’ messaging to take a more playful, holistic approach to wellbeing.

“At the same time, we know that shoppers are increasingly shunning traditional meals for more snacking, particularly in food-to-go missions, the brands that win will be those balancing health and flavour with fun. Convenience stores should also note that 68% of shoppers buy snacks for children, meaning that stocking portion-controlled brands, such as Babybel Original and GoGo squeeZ, alongside clear fixture signage, will help them to navigate healthier choices.

Parent approved

GoGo squeeZ already appeals to the 51% of parents who believe good nutrition is a key ingredient for a fulfilled child and that buying snacks containing one of their child’s 5-a-day as the most important factor – yet just 12% of UK children actually eat their 5-a-day.

Last year’s the GoGo squeeZ The Day Trends report, which combined the views of 1000 parents of young children, insights from a team of experts and  actionable tips to equip families with the understanding and tools to balance children’s needs with the demands of daily life, highlighted the importance of nutritious food as part of a balanced diet, while revealing that a fifth of parents believe a lack of healthy snacking options is a key issue.

  • GoGo squeeZ comes in shelf-ready outers of 10 x 90g pouches. RRP £1.20 per pouch
  • Babybel Original comes in nets of 2, 6, 10, 12, 15 and 28.
  • Babybel Protein comes in packs of 2 and nets of 6.
