GRID Braehead strengthens F&B mix with Salt & Stacked

Multi-format leisure destination GRID Braehead has welcomed local food brand Salt & Stacked. The opening marks the second food concept at GRID from the team behind Vinci’s, the brand’s sweet sister retailer that already operates at the destination, demonstrating confidence in GRID as a platform for independent operators to grow and develop.

Offering a popular mix of loaded fries and loaded mac, the arrival of Salt & Stacked supports GRID’s continued focus on developing a varied food and beverage offer that complements its retail, leisure and entertainment mix. Together, Salt & Stacked and Vinci’s provide visitors with decadent savoury and sweet options, helping to broaden customer choice and enhance the overall visitor experience.

The addition of a growing local independent alongside established brands, such as TGI Fridays, PizzaExpress and Nando’s, further strengthens GRID’s diverse dining mix, bringing together recognisable brands and homegrown concepts to create a more varied offer.

The opening also forms part of GRID’s wider strategy to create an all-day destination that encourages visitors to stay for longer and combine dining with shopping, leisure and entertainment. With food, drink, family attractions, outdoor retailers and activity-led operators all under one roof, GRID continues to strengthen its positioning as a destination day out with something for everyone.

Nicola Hiscoe, director of Salt & Stacked said: “GRID has proved to be a strong location for Salt & Stacked. As a well-established leisure destination, it gives us the platform to introduce the concept to a broad customer base, alongside a complementary mix of food, retail and entertainment. The response since launch has been extremely encouraging, giving us real confidence in Salt & Stacked’s potential to grow at GRID.”

Bruce Harley, centre manager at GRID Braehead, said: “Salt & Stacked is a strong addition to GRID and reflects the continued development of our food and beverage offer. The success of Vinci’s and the launch of this second concept demonstrates the opportunity here for operators to grow and respond to customer demand.

“As we continue to strengthen the mix of dining, leisure and retail at GRID, brands like Salt & Stacked extend customer choice and play an important role in building dwell time.”
