Hackstons of KnightsbridgeAward-winning luxury retailer Hackstons has launched a special range of whisky featuring a Chinese iconic brand.

As London looks ahead to the Year of the Horse in 2026, Hackstons is the capital’s destination for Lunar New Year drinking and gifting.

Fresh from being named Newcomer of the Year at the Drinks Retailing Awards, the Knightsbridge-based luxury spirits retailer is marking the moment with a special release.

Hackstons has announced the arrival of Moutai Baijiu, a spirit that is revered as the national liquor of China and synonymous with celebration, ceremony and power.

The curated lineup includes Moutai Flying Fairy (53%) priced at £300. The undisputed icon of the brand, presented with two traditional tasting cups. A complex, soy-aroma spirit that is essential for any Lunar New Year toast.

Moutai Prince Gold (£47) – A vibrant, approachable expression of the Moutai craft, perfect for those exploring the depth of Baijiu for the first time.

There’s also Moutai Banquet Red, (£196) encased in the traditional colour of luck and joy, this edition is specifically designed for celebration, making it an exquisite centre piece for family reunions.

The Lunar New Year selection also features Johnnie Walker Blue Label Year of the Horse edition (£225), a limited release that blends one of Scotch whisky’s most recognisable names with design rooted in the symbolism of the zodiac.

A Hackstons spokesperson said: “Lunar New Year is about meaning, generosity and marking this time properly. We wanted to work with spirits that people genuinely respect, whether they’re opening them at the table or keeping them for years to come.”

The release lands at a milestone moment for Hackstons. The Newcomer of the Year award reflects a growing reputation for sharp curation and a refusal to dilute luxury with gimmicks. This Lunar New Year offering follows the same philosophy: confident, culturally aware and deliberately restrained.

The 2026 Lunar New Year marks a milestone for Hackstons, fresh from winning Newcomer of the Year at the prestigious Drinks Retailing Awards. This accolade recognises Hackstons’ commitment to transforming the luxury spirits landscape through expert curation and a seamless omnichannel shopping experience.

Experience the collection in person at our Knightsbridge boutique, where our specialists are available to guide you through the nuances of Baijiu and premium whisky, or shop the full Lunar New Year range online at www.hackstons.com.
