Just Eat acquires sought after London restaurants

Just Eat has announced several top London food spots have joined its platform as it continues to evolve its business to cater to consumer demand for delivery for all food occasions.

From gourmet breakfast from Eggslut to wood-fired pizza from Homeslice, healthy Hawaiian bowls from Honi Poke to authentic Greek gyros from The Athenian – there are now over 17,700 London restaurants on Just Eat.

The food delivery app is actively expanding its range of popular dine-in restaurants with Michelin-star chef Gordon Ramsay’s collection of restaurants – Gordon Ramsay Street Burger, Gordon Ramsay Street Pizza, Pizza East and Bread Street Kitchen by Gordon Ramsay – now available for delivery on Just Eat. In addition, the platform’s selection of operators catering to plant based diets is seeing a step change with the likes of vegan ‘chicken’ shop Temple of Seitan and meat-free burger bar, The Vurger Co launching on Just Eat later this month.

These partnerships in the capital signify the popularity of Just Eat among restaurants and customers alike, as demand for delivery continues to grow. Since 2020, the food delivery platform has seen a 250% growth in breakfast orders and 71% growth in lunchtime orders, as more consumers opt for the choice and convenience of on-demand delivery for more meal occasions outside the traditional weekend treat.

Recognising the continued importance of value for money amidst the current climate, Just Eat is investing in free delivery* on orders over £10 until the end of the year to drive further demand.

Just Eat UK Strategic Accounts Director, Amy Heather said: “It’s great to be partnering with these new incredible restaurant partners in London and bringing more breadth of choice to our customers. From locally-loved takeaways to dine-in dishes and everyday essentials such as groceries, Just Eat is continuing to evolve its offering, providing food for every occasion morning, noon and night, while catering for all tastes and budgets.”

Alongside these new London restaurants, Just Eat’s 19 million UK customers can also order from other popular food spots including The Breakfast Club and LEON, as well as order groceries from Sainsbury’s, ASDA and Co-op.
