L.A Brewery sets a new standard for non-alcoholic drinking: sophisticated sparkle with benefits

LA BreweryAward-winning, non-alcoholic brand L.A Brewery (www.labrewery.co.uk) has unveiled a fresh take on sipping occasions and non-alcoholic drinking, bringing refreshing wine alternatives with benefits to market in bottle and now can formats. Joining L.A Brewery’s leading, larger format range is a collection of 250ml cans, reaching sober-curious drinkers for all drinking occasions and setting the brand apart from strong competition in the non-alcoholic sector.

Brewed in England, L.A Brewery delivers natural wine and champagne alternatives designed for the modern drinker for that evening glass of wine or the celebratory toast and, now with the addition of cans, on the go and al fresco drinking.

The brand has been leading the way in fulfilling the growing demand for high quality, wine and champagne-like alternatives since 2017 with industry experts describing the range as ‘many of sparkling wine’s charms minus the alcohol’. While a quarter of Brits identify as ‘sober curious’, 79% seek alcohol alternatives that offer the same body and complexity of alcohol.   While de-alcoholised wine is a familiar and readily available option on the market, it often lacks the complexity and deep flavour profiles that consumers demand.  Filling this gap, L.A Brewery is delivering an innovative option that builds flavour and offers a range of benefits that the sober-curious and health conscious seek from live cultures and antioxidants to a natural energy boost. Using a six-week fermentation process, L.A Brewery enhances tea with blends of fruits and flowers before filtering this to a wine clarity with a crisp, clean, tart and fresh taste profile.

In addition to deep flavours, the on-the-go can format is also yet to be explored within the alcohol-free wine market despite environmental concerns, regulations and convenience driving a switch to aluminium cans for alcohol brands. A can format is 100% recyclable while also being lighter than standard glass packaging therefore requiring less energy to recycle.

The addition of cans will see L.A Brewery pave the way in alcohol-free drinking occasions, delivering its award-winning flavours in a format that mirrors the current packaging changes seen in the wine market and ready to drink cocktails.

On the brand’s decision to introduce a new range of cans Meg Ellis, Managing Director, says “We have seen the no and low market change and grow at pace in recent years and it’s energising to be part of such an innovative category. The success of our celebratory champagne style sharing bottles has driven our move to provide a convenient single serve format. Our L.A Brewery range offers natural health benefits alongside a great depth of flavour and we’re looking forward to sharing our new cans as a fresh way for the anytime enjoyment of our craft drinks.”

Joining L.A Brewery’s range of 750ml wine-like bottles, the cans will bring a cohesion to the brand’s image, highlighting its intentional and popular look and feel. On the choice of the can’s design Louise Avery, Founder, says “We have been cementing ourselves as a pioneer in the alcohol-free space and this new range feels like the final piece to the puzzle. Mimicking not only our 750ml bottles but also other alcohol brands in the market, the L.A Brewery vision and message now feels clear and we are driven by a passion for flavour and health. We have created a sophisticated offering that elevates drinking occasions in more ways than just providing a great tasting drink.  The perfect alternative to a glass of wine after work, a celebratory toast, or an option for picnics in the park as we approach summer, our cans are an option that drinkers and non-drinkers will enjoy”.

As the sober-curious movement grows, L.A Brewery leads the way with elegant and eco-conscious format made for all occasions, rewriting the rules for the non-alcoholic category.

L.A Brewery’s 250ml can range will be available from 1st June at www.labrewery.co.uk and Amazon.
