Matthews Cotswold Flour announces GBBO contestant as new Brand Ambassador

Award-winning artisan flour producer Matthews Cotswold Flour has announced former Great British Bake Off contestant Rowan Claughton as its newest brand ambassador.

Rowan, who appeared in Series 14 of the hit Channel 4 show, is a baker, writer and recipe developer, and has a popular baking Instagram account @rowanclaughton and presence on TikTok. The Bake Off star is a fan of the specialist flours for producing bakes of exceptional taste and texture. 

Rowan will be developing recipes for Matthews Cotswold Flour, which has a milling legacy spanning eight generations, by using its extensive range of artisan flours, and creating accompanying content for its social media platforms and website. His debut recipe for Strawberry & Passionfruit Eton Mess Cake is now live @rowanclaughton on Instagram, at @cotswoldflour and cotswoldflour.com. 

Says Rowan: “I’m thrilled to be donning my ambassador badge with Mathews Cotswold Flour to create some beautiful recipes and content. It’s always a joy to bake with high quality ingredients so when they asked me to join, how could I say no? In the coming months, you should expect some serious showstoppers served with a slice of extravagance and a sprinkle of fun. I’m so excited to get started!”

Melissa Hawkes, senior marketing executive for Matthews Cotswold Flour, adds: “We’re delighted to have Rowan on board as our new brand ambassador. He understands the difference specialist flours like ours can make in baking, and we’re excited to see what other recipes he’ll create for us in the coming months.”

Matthews Cotswold Flour has recently launched its new range of regenerative flours, some of which will be featured by Rowan in his recipes for the brand. Through their local Cotswold Grain Partnership and fair trade pricing, Matthews Cotswold Flour works with farmers to grow in a regenerative way.  By giving back some profits to farmers, Matthews Cotswold Flour is able to support new regenerative farming practices.
