Montebelo Brasil brings the fresh taste of Brazil to the UK with Ocado debut

ntebelo Brasil Fresh juice brand Montebelo Brasil is making its UK debut this autumn, launching an initial four-SKU range exclusively with Ocado and bringing a fresh taste of Brazil to British shoppers.

Leading the launch are two variants of fresh Brazilian orange juice; Montebelo Brasil Smooth Orange Juice (1L, £3.15) and Montebelo Brasil Orange Juice with Bits (1L, £3.15), both made with 100% pure Brazilian orange juice and not from concentrate. The oranges are hand-picked and pressed within 48 hours, which helps them to retain their naturally fresh and vibrant flavour. The orange juices contain no added sugar, additives or preservatives, are rich in Vitamin C and provide 1 of your 5 a day per 150ml serving.

Built around a more direct, traceable approach to fruit sourcing, Montebelo Brasil works directly with its own farm Monte Belo Fazenda and a network of partner farms in Brazil’s optimal growing regions. Brazil’s Citrus Belt provides ideal conditions with its fertile soil and abundant sunlight for growing high-quality oranges and lemons. Once harvested, the fruits travel to Matão and Bebedouro processing facilities and are squeezed within 48 hours, preserving their natural freshness and flavor. Each variety offers distinct characteristics and is precisely blended to ensure that every bottle of Montebelo Brasil has the quality and flavor you expect.

Montebelo Brasil’s Brazilian oranges are fully traceable from ‘grove to glass’ and Rainforest Alliance Certified, which means they are grown using more sustainable agricultural practices that protect Brazil’s biodiversity, flora and fauna. The brand works directly with its farming network as part of its commitment to a more responsible approach to agriculture that respects both nature and people. The brand promotes biodiversity, fair working conditions, and sustainable development throughout its supply chain.

The range also includes Montebelo Brasil Pineapple, Orange & Lime Juice (1L, £3.15), a tropical 100% juice blend combining pineapple, Brazilian orange and lime, with the Brazilian orange juice making up 37% of the recipe. Completing the launch is Montebelo Brasil Lemon & Lime Still Lemonade (1L, £3.15), made with hand-picked Brazilian lemons and limes for a crisp, zesty citrus drink.

Montebelo Brasil gives consumers greater visibility of the journey behind its juice, from the Brazilian farms where its fruit is grown and harvested through to its pressing, transportation and bottling. A QR code on pack allows shoppers to explore more about the journey of the oranges and their provenance.

Laura Rouchouse, at Montebelo Brasil, commented: “Brazil has an incredible heritage of growing exceptional fruit, and we wanted to bring that taste and provenance directly to UK consumers. Montebelo Brasil is about making great juice with a much clearer connection between the fruit, the farms and what ends up in the bottle. We’re excited to bring Montebelo Brasil to the UK with Ocado and offer shoppers a genuinely fresh taste of Brazil, alongside a proposition that delivers on quality and value.”

James Gilks, co-founder at Altura Group, Montebelo Brasil’s UK licensee & distributor, added: “Bringing Montebelo Brasil to the UK for the first time is an exciting opportunity to introduce shoppers to something genuinely new, combining the vibrant taste of Brazil with quality, freshness and provenance, while giving the category a fresh new perspective.”

With its UK launch, Montebelo Brasil is looking to shake up the established juice category with a combination of Brazilian provenance, traceability, quality and value, starting with Ocado before exploring further opportunities to grow its presence in the UK.

The four-SKU Montebelo Brasil range is available from 19th October exclusively at Ocado, with a recommended retail price of £3.15 per 1L bottle.
