Morrisons has become the UK’s largest non-bank cash deposit ATM network in the UK, with over 40 machines now live in its supermarkets across the country. A further 13 are due to launch in the coming months to help give people even more options to access cash.
Each cash deposit ATM allows customers to both withdraw and deposit cash, offering greater flexibility and convenience for personal and business banking. Positioned in accessible locations within stores, these machines are helping thousands of people bank as part of their regular shop.
The rollout is already proving successful, with Morrisons cash deposit ATMs now taking in over £1 million in cash deposits every month as many households and small businesses look for alternative ways to bank in their communities.
Ben Mildred, treasury manager at Morrisons, said: “We’re proud to be helping make banking more accessible by offering cash deposit services in our stores. Customers have told us they like the flexibility and convenience the cash deposit ATMs offer and so we are pleased to be rolling them out to more stores in the coming weeks.”
The cash deposit ATMs have been delivered thanks to collaboration with key partners, including NoteMachine who operate the ATMs and Cash Access UK, an organisation funded by the UK’s biggest banks to bring shared cash services to communities.
