Morrisons is helping the nation bring football home this summer with a football inspired line-up of match-night meal deals built for late kick-offs, extra time snacking and big night in energy.
With two-thirds of Brits (64%)1 expected to tune in to this summer’s tournament, and more than half (55%) watching at home due to late-night kick-offs, Morrisons is tapping into the expected stay-in-and-snack boom with a range designed for sharing, grazing and going the distance.
Leading the attack is the £10 Match Day Meal Deal – serving four people for just £2.50 each, with savings of up to £14.75. The deal includes two mains, two sides and a four-pack of drinks – an easy, crowd-pleasing spread made for match-night hosting without the hassle.
Inspired by classic US game-day food culture, the range goes big on bold, messy, shareable flavours. From slow-cooked barbeque ribs, buffalo wings and pulled pork, to loaded nachos and Southern fried chicken, plus sides like fries, onion rings and bacon mac and cheese.
Across the meal deal, shoppers can mix and match more than 1,800 combinations of mains, sides and drinks – enough to build a different ‘starting eleven’ every match!
That’s not all. The Match Day Meal Deal is part of the wider big match range, including dedicated meal deals and hosting bundles aimed at feeding groups for less throughout the tournament.
Pizza fans aren’t left on the bench either. Morrisons Pizza Counter Meal Deal offers two pizzas and one side for £10, scoring big with a saving of up to £5.50. New limited-edition drops include an American Hot Dog Stuffed Crust Pizza (£6) and Football Brownie Cups (£2.50). Also joining the squad is a new Detroit Pepperoni & Hot Honey Pizza (£6), tapping into the viral ‘hot honey’ trend taking over FoodTok.
For something different, Morrisons is also rolling out a Curry Takeaway Banquet for Two, featuring Chicken Korma and Chicken Tikka Masala curry bags with two sides for £5.50 (just £2.75 per person), offering savings of up to £4.50 and a late-night takeaway-style alternative for fans staying up to watch the action.
