Nfinite, the leader in next-generation 3D visualization for retail, today announced a set of new features including the release of Dynamic Display, a major new capability of its SaaS platform. Dynamic Display allows retailers and brand owners to quickly and seamlessly embed interactive, shoppable showrooms on any webpage. Shoppers can now instantly customize their dream room and personalize their digital experience, leading to significant improvement in online conversion rates for retailers.
To date, Dynamic Display has shown significant improvements on website and conversion performance, including a 2.5X increase in clickthrough rate, a 53% increase in conversion rate and a 2.8X improvement in repeat customer engagement.
Indeed, in a recent report from Nfinite, shoppers report increasing expectations around ecommerce product visuals. 88% of people say high-quality product imagery is important and 77% said product image capabilities increase their confidence in purchase decisions on websites they’ve never purchased from before.
“Dynamic Display is a game-changer. For the first time, retailers can put personalization squarely in the hands of their online customers, making it possible for them to immerse themselves in shopping experiences of their choice, context, and visual preferences,” said Alexandre de Vigan, founder and CEO of Nfinite. “The impact on clickthrough, conversion, repeat engagement and average order volume speaks for itself, and proves the importance of an immersive visual experience for retailers.”
The Nfinite e-merchandising platform eliminates the physical, scaling, and financial barriers that retailers and brands typically face in creating advanced, visually stunning e-merchandising experiences. The platform also offers 3D visual assets compatible with VR and AR applications. Learn more about Nfinite’s platform here: nfinite.app/platform
Retail Times hosts a Q&A with Nfinite to discuss the features and benefits of the new Dynamic Display tech
Q: To what extent is the new Dynamic Display feature targeted at home furnishings retailers versus other retail categories, where it could have huge appeal ie fashion and beauty for example?
A: Our first application for Dynamic Display targeted furniture retailers because consumers are keen to see home furnishing products in context with one another and with other decor. This type of immersive shopping experience has been shown to increase conversion rate by 58%, as consumers feel more confident purchasing multiple items when they are able to see an entire room come together.
Now that we have seen this feature work well with furniture retailers, we believe there are applications beyond home and living, specifically for consumer electronics, beauty, and other areas where consumers want to mix and match items to increase confidence before purchasing.
Q: What challenges does Dynamic Display overcome for online retailers ie some customers prefer to experience products in real life, in physical stores vs online. Further, online product references and images don’t necessarily create a true representation of the actual product – it may be difficult to determine scale, colours and textures, for example. How does Dynamic Display address these issues?
A: Dynamic Display addresses the challenges faced by online retailers by providing a more interactive and personalized shopping experience that enables shoppers to see products in various contexts that represent their personal style. Scale can be easily understood by adjusting the scene with the click of a button to show the product among a variety of other products.
Our 3D models are of the highest quality, accurately representing colors and textures, providing customers with the confidence to make a purchase without physically experiencing the product. Additionally, Nfinite has designed Dynamic Display to be responsive and optimized for different devices, including desktops, tablets, and smartphones, which can further enhance the user experience.
Q: Can users save their customized product selections and return to them at a later date to review and/or purchase? If so, how many selections are they able to save?
A: Yes, we allow a lot of customization with Dynamic Display, so if a retailer wanted to allow shoppers to save selections and return to that page later on, that is possible.
While saving a scene and returning later is technically possible, retailers have primarily utilized Dynamic Display to improve purchasing confidence in the moment, allowing a shopper to easily see items in a scene and select the combination that they like best with a click of a button. In fact, Dynamic Display has resulted in 2.8X improvement in repeat customer engagement.
Q: The conversion rate and click through stats are impressive. What do you feel is driving that – the personalization element or image quality?
A: Both personalization and image quality are critical to the overall performance improvements we have helped achieve. Recent data we published in our “Shopper Sentiment Report” shows that 77% of consumers said that product image capabilities actually increase their confidence in purchase decisions on websites they’ve never purchased from before. With product imagery expectations rising, retailers who employ high-quality and sophisticated imagery are seeing results.
Our customers have seen improvements in engagement, clickthrough rate, and sales from use of our high-quality product imagery, which give customers a more realistic representation of the product. Combined with the immersive, personalized experience of Dynamic Display, the conversion and clickthrough rates are even more significant.
Q: How do retailers go about implementing Dynamic Display on their existing online sites?
A: We have optimized the retailer integration time with a sharp focus on website performance. Retailers can simply embed Dynamic Display on their existing online sites with a few lines of code. The specific implementation process may vary based on the retailer’s website platform and the technology provider’s requirements.
Q: Finally, is the tech easy for customers to use/intuitive?
A: Yes. The interface is very simple for customers to use and designed with e-commerce best practices. Shoppers can click on any number of the objects in the virtual space, and options will pop right up. The couch isn’t their style? With one click, other options appear and can be swapped in with another click. They want to swap in a painting that matches their aesthetic? Easy. When they’ve mixed and matched to their heart’s content, they can shop right from the space.
