Independent lifestyle brand Oliver Bonas is entering the retail park market for the first time, with new stores at British Land’s Glasgow Fort and Teesside Park.

The move is a significant milestone for the brand, which has agreed a lease for 2,800 sq ft of retail space at Glasgow Fort, marking its first ever retail park concept. Oliver Bonas will open at Glasgow Fort in September, closely followed by Teesside Park which will open later in the autumn, with the brand taking 3,190 sq ft.

Oliver Bonas’ arrival strengthens the fashion and lifestyle offering at both centres, joining an impressive line-up of independent, local and national brands.

Known for an aesthetic, design-led approach across fashion, homeware and gifting, all Oliver Bonas stores are carefully curated for an engaging and inspiring shopping experience. Its arrival reflects British Land’s hands-on asset management strategy, which is focused on continued evolution towards a more diverse, experience-led retail mix, combining well-loved national names with distinctive independent brands to give visitors more reason to spend time at the destination.

Over the past 12 months, British Land has secured 42,290 sq ft of lettings at Teesside Park, one of the North East’s leading retail and leisure destinations. Through targeted leasing, investment in store upgrades and a carefully curated brand mix, the business remains committed to future-proofing the destination. At Scotland’s Glasgow Fort, this latest letting follows a period of exceptional performance, with the destination achieving record visitor numbers and an 8% year-on-year increase in footfall in the last 12 months, marking its strongest annual performance to date.

Matthew Reed, head of asset management, retail parks, at British Land, said: “Oliver Bonas is a brand with a very clear identity and a loyal following, so their decision to open at both Glasgow Fort and Teesside Park speaks volumes about the strength of our regional destinations and the opportunity they offer. As a well-established national retailer, Oliver Bonas adds real depth to our line-up and further strengthens our lifestyle proposition. Their move also highlights the continued strength of the retail park format, with brands increasingly recognising the benefits of these well-connected, high-performing destinations.

“We’re always looking at how we can reposition, reinvest and refine the mix of stores and activities at our retail parks to reflect how customers are actually spending their time and money. The momentum we’re seeing in both footfall and retailer demand across Glasgow Fort and Teesside Park gives us real confidence in the continued growth of both destinations.”

Sevda Cankorur, Head of Retail at Oliver Bonas, said: “We’re delighted to be continuing our expansion with the opening of new stores at Glasgow Fort and Teesside Park. These openings reflect our commitment to bringing Oliver Bonas to more communities across the UK. We look forward to welcoming customers through our doors and sharing our latest design-led collections, offering inspiration across fashion, homeware and gifts.”

In May 2026, British Land submitted the planning application for a 60,000 sq ft expansion at Glasgow Fort. If approved, it will be one of the UK’s first major retail and leisure development investments since 2020 and will see an expansion of the existing Marks & Spencer, as well as an enhanced leisure offering, including bowling and arcades.

Teesside Park offers customers 60-plus retail and dining brands alongside a Showcase Cinema de Lux and Hollywood Bowl. The scheme benefits from more than 1,500 free parking spaces and strong public transport connectivity, supporting a wide North East catchment. Through ongoing investment and active asset management, British Land continues to enhance the offer and ensure the destination remains competitive in an evolving retail landscape.
