pladis launches limited-edition McVitie’s Digestives Jaffa Cakes flavour

McVitie’s Digestives Jaffa Cakespladis, the global snacking company behind some of the UK’s most loved and iconic brands, has extended the beloved Jaffa Cakes into biscuits with the launch of limited-edition McVitie’s Digestives Jaffa Cakes flavour. The collaboration between two icons, Jaffa Cakes and Digestives, comes as the brand doubles down on the fact that Jaffa Cakes are – and always will be – cakes.

McVitie’s Digestives Jaffa Cakes flavour has been developed after decades of debate, group chat spats and divided households, about whether in fact, Jaffa Cakes are biscuits. Each biscuit features the iconic golden baked digestive with an unmistakable Jaffa Cake flavoured layer.

“The debate about whether Jaffa Cakes are biscuits or cakes has been ongoing across the UK for a long time, and we’re well aware of the nation’s Jaffa Cakes biscuit believers,” says Daniel Shemoon, marketing manager, pladis UK&I.

“This new launch is driving excitement through collaboration, bringing together two of our much-loved British classics  – a delicious treat for those looking to enjoy the best of both worlds.”

The limited-edition McVitie’s Digestives Jaffa Cakes flavour (RRP £2.35) is on shelf now in Sainsbury’s before rolling out across grocery, wholesale and convenience from 29 June 2026.
