Planty Planty, the chef-made plant-based meal brand founded by former Gordon Ramsay chef Joe Lovell, is expanding its menu with five new dishes.

The new additions include a rich and nutritious Shoyu Ramen, a twist on a British classic Ham Hock, high-protein pancakes – Cocoa Banana Pancakes and Tomato & Herb Pancakes, and a Mushroom & Scrambled Tofu. And they’re all gluten free!

Made in Planty’s North London kitchen, the new dishes follow the brand’s approach to plant-based food: 100% natural ingredients, high in protein and fibre, no preservatives and no unnecessary fillers, with every meal prepared by chefs and flash frozen on the day it is made.

Among the new dishes is Shoyu Ramen, combining an umami-rich broth with smoked tofu, broccoli, sweet potato, rice noodles and crunchy oil. It delivers 31g of protein, 16g of fibre and three of your five-a-day.

For a plant-based take on a British comfort food classic, the ‘Ham Hock’ Pot swaps meat for giant chickpeas and smoky hock mushrooms, served with potato. The dish contains 30g of protein and 24g of fibre, making it one of Planty’s most substantial new additions.

The new breakfast line-up brings a chef-led approach to the first meal of the day. Cocoa Banana Pancakes combine fluffy buckwheat pancakes with cocoa and peanut, delivering 20g of protein and 7g of fibre in just 292 calories. For those who prefer a savoury start, Tomato & Herb Pancakes pair fluffy pancakes with tomatoes and herbs, while Mushroom & Scrambled Tofu combines scrambled tofu with roasted field mushrooms, spinach and kale, delivering 26g of protein and 7g of fibre in 268 calories.

Planty was founded in 2019 by Joe Lovell, whose career began in Gordon Ramsay’s kitchens before working in Michelin-starred restaurants and going on to become the youngest Head Chef in a major corporate catering group. But after years of long hours, rushed meals and poor food choices, Joe experienced a serious health scare which forced him to rethink his relationship with food.

He began focusing on nutrient-dense, whole-food, plant-based eating, and saw a significant difference in his energy and ability to return to the sports he loved. That experience became the foundation for Planty.

Joe Lovell, Founder of Planty commented: “When I started Planty, I wanted to prove that plant-based food could be genuinely exciting, satisfying and something you looked forward to eating – not something you chose because you thought you should. These new dishes are a great example of that. From a proper bowl of ramen to a ham hock pot, we’re taking the kind of food we love to eat and giving it the Planty treatment. Also, who knew frozen pancakes could taste so good too, you’ve got to try them to believe it!”

Today, the Planty team prepares meals from scratch in its North London kitchen, using whole-food ingredients and recipes developed with nutrition in mind. Meals are then flash frozen at peak freshness, allowing Planty to offer chef-prepared food that can be kept in the freezer and enjoyed whenever it is needed.

Planty meals are available to order online and delivered frozen across the UK. Discover more here www.planty.uk
