Redefine Meat unveils next-generation plant-based flank steak with next-level juicy taste and bite

Redefine Meat The next generation of Redefine Meat’s flagship plant-based flank steak is here: a richer and juicier version with full-bodied flavour designed to push plant-based meat even closer to the real thing.

Known for its whole-cut plant-based meats that are big on flavour, big on bite, and built to satisfy, the brand’s upgraded Redefine Flank Steak has been developed by chefs and meat experts. As well as a deeper, beefier flavour and a richer aroma, the Redefine Flank Steak has a more satisfying meat-like texture designed to replicate the mouthfeel of real beef steak.

Designed for ultimate versatility, Redefine Flank Steak works across cuisines and cooking methods – from steak frites to tacos, stir-fries and Wellingtons with bold sauces – making it an easy swap for whole cuts of beef in both professional kitchens and at home.

Packed with 25g of protein and 4.4g of fibre per 100g, the Redefine Flank Steak delivers on nutrition as well as taste. With just 0.9g of saturated fat per 100g – 66% less than a typical beef steak – it’s cholesterol-free, and made without genetically-modified or animal ingredients.

Redefine Flank Steak has long-been a firm favourite in the UK hospitality scene, served across fine-dining and casual dining spots including Le Petit Beefbar London and STAKEHAUS. Loved by top chefs and home cooks alike, the brand’s award-winning range is available nationwide in ASDA and Ocado.

Built for everyone from meat lovers to vegetarians, vegans and flexitarians, Redefine Flank Steak delivers a proper steak dining experience, without the environmental or ethical compromise.

And now it’s even better for the planet – by cutting plastic use by over 60% with a new single thermoform pack, Redefine Meat is making it even easier for consumers to choose a lower-impact alternative to traditional beef.

Simon Owen, VP EMEA at Redefine Meat, said: “Our new Redefine Flank Steak sets a new benchmark in plant-based steak. Evolved through years of refinement and chef feedback, it delivers a rich, juicy, meat-like experience so convincing that most people won’t believe it isn’t beef. Given the overwhelmingly positive feedback we’ve received so far from our chef and retail partners, we believe we’ve created something genuinely different that will bring more chefs and consumers to the New-Meat era.”

The Redefine Flank Steak was awarded ‘Champion’ in the plant-based meat alternatives category at The Grocer’s New Product & Packaging Awards 2025.

The brand’s innovative New-Meat™* products are plant-based, designed to celebrate the taste, texture and sensory experience of meat while offering nutritional and environmental benefits.

The new and improved Redefine Flank Steak will make its way onto supermarket shelves in the coming weeks – keep your eyes out for the new pack instore and online at ASDA, and online at Ocado.
