Savills has been appointed by Frasers Group to provide property management services at East Midlands Designer Outlet, a leading retail destination in South Normanton, Derbyshire.
Located just off Junction 28 of the M1, East Midlands Designer Outlet occupies a highly accessible position in the centre of the UK and attracts approximately 3.5 million visitors each year. The 170,000 sq ft scheme comprises more than 65 retail units and 10 food and beverage operators, offering a broad mix of fashion, lifestyle and sportswear brands.
The outlet has seen positive momentum, with sustained improvements in footfall, turnover and average spend. This has been supported by a strong mix of retail and leisure brands, including Rituals, Calvin Klein, Tommy Hilfiger, Adidas, Wagamama, Slim Chickens and Five Guys, enhancing the centre’s appeal as both a shopping and leisure destination.
Savills will provide property management and operational support across the scheme, working alongside Frasers Group, asset manager Global Mutual, and the centre’s occupiers to ensure the smooth running of the outlet and support its ongoing performance. The instruction includes the day-to-day management of the destination, with a focus on delivering a high-quality experience for visitors, retailers and food and beverage operators.
Jenny Banks, director, property management at Savills, comments, “East Midlands Designer Outlet is a strong and well-established retail destination with excellent accessibility, a compelling occupier mix and a rich local heritage. We are pleased to be working with Frasers Group to support the continued success of the scheme and deliver best-in-class property management services across the outlet.”
The appointment follows Frasers Group’s acquisition of the outlet in April and Savills recent appointment by Frasers Group at Swindon Designer Outlet.
