schuh, one of the UK’s leading footwear retailers is pleased to announce the appointment of Laura King as chief marketing officer with immediate effect.
King joins to support schuh’s ambition to be an unrivalled fashion footwear destination for Gen-Z and Gen-Alpha, serving the hottest product in the most inclusive way. Stocking a curated range of schuh own-label alongside the biggest footwear and trainer brands, schuh exists to help people be unapologetically authentic and true to themselves through bold self- expression.
King has 20 years of marketing experience both brand and agency side at the intersection of fashion, sports and youth culture. Following a nine-year tenure at advertising agency Wieden & Kennedy, where Laura managed the Nike account and contributed to other world-class consumer brands, she was more recently responsible for brand marketing at high-profile retailers Urban Outfitters and Accessorize. Laura also serves as Vice Chair at Save The Children UK, the world’s largest child rights organisation.
King will lead the marketing, creative, visual merchandising, brand partnerships, purpose, PR, talent & community departments at schuh. King joins the existing five members of the schuh leadership team, including schuh president Colin Temple.
