schuh launches summer campaign, ‘The Group Chat VS The Getaway’

As summer holiday season kicks off, fashion footwear retailer schuh is rewriting the rules on what a getaway (and great style) really looks like.

With its latest seasonal edit, schuh celebrates the reality of summer travel: imperfect plans, unpredictable weather, last‐minute decisions and memorable mishaps – all while dressed, well, unapologetically you.

We all know the vision: endless sunshine, flawless fits and picture-perfect destinations. The vibes on the group chat? Flawless. The reality? Broken suitcases, cloudy skies, fake tan mishaps, dodgy tan lines and an aunt capturing the content from questionable angles. And that’s exactly the point. Because holidays don’t have to look a certain way. And neither do you.

schuh’s summer edit puts individuality and freedom of expression front and centre, reminding consumers that it’s not about where you’re going, it’s how you show up. Whether it’s a last‐minute getaway, a long‐haul escape or a stay‐close‐to‐home summer, the fits (and the footwear) are still doing the most.

From sun‐soaked beach days to airport queues and late‐night wanderings, schuh’s summer staples are designed to go wherever the season takes you, with iconic brands including Dr. Martens, Nike, New Balance, Havaianas, BIRKENSTOCK and more.

Bringing schuh’s “Same, but Different” summer energy to screens nationwide, the campaign will roll out across cinema, appearing alongside The Devil Wears Prada 2, as well as BVOD and online video placements across Channel 4, ITVX and YouTube.

The launch comes as schuh continues to evolve its retail experience, with a focus on creating more engaging, experience-led spaces for its Gen Z and Gen A customers. Many locations are being reimagined through the ‘new schuh’ concept – a more modern, consistent store design built to better reflect the brand’s place at the intersection of footwear and youth culture.

This season, schuh reinforces its commitment to inclusivity and self‐expression, encouraging people to embrace every version of summer – the planned, the spontaneous and everything in between.
