SKÏP, the UK’s first British made cold-pressed CBD drinks brand, has been named among the top food and drink producers globally this year, picking up a highly prized 1-star Great Taste award for its Elderflower & Mint drink.
More than 14,300 products were put through the competition’s rigorous blind judging process; and SKÏP was dubbed a “refreshing, well-made drink” with “a gentle effervescence” at the world’s most coveted food and drink awards.
A Great Taste 1-star is given to ‘food and drink that delivers fantastic flavour’.
Described as “a slightly cloudy drink with a fresh minty aroma with undertones of fruity florality” with “clear notes of the hemp on the finish”, SKÏP’s Elderflower and Mint was a big hit with the Great Taste judges.
SKÏP is an everyday CBD drink brand which has been developed in conjunction with a team of scientific researchers from the University of Oxford.
Each 250ml can contains 5mg of cold-pressed CBD (below the most recent FSA guidance of 10mg/day) as well as fruit juices and botanicals, no added sugar and no soya lecithin. SKÏP’s CBD is not subject to Novel Foods due to its manufacturing process.
SKÏP co-founder Adam Pritchard said: “We’re delighted to have won a Great Taste award for our sparkling Elderflower & Mint drink.
“Our drinks contain cold-pressed CBD, an innovative new ingredient in the market, which preserves all the natural compounds of the hemp plant, allows faster absorption and delivers eight times the benefits per mg versus standard CBD isolate.
“We pride ourselves on creating high quality and excellent value drinks that deliver on taste and refreshment, and we’re thrilled that the Great Taste judges have recognised that.”
SKÏP is available in 625 Home Bargains stores across the country for just 99p as well as direct from the brand’s website https://www.drinkskip.com/
It is available in three sparkling variants: Peach & Ginger, Elderflower & Mint and Lemon & Basil.
