Søstrene GreneManchester Arndale is delighted to welcome Scandinavian lifestyle retailer Søstrene Grene, which will open a 4,952 sq ft store at the North West’s leading retail destination.

The new opening follows a series of recent lettings at Manchester Arndale, including Sephora, Alo Yoga and PureSeoul, underlining the destination’s strength and appeal to a diverse range of retailers.

Recent arrivals from both clothing and lifestyle brands have highlighted the strong demand from international retailers keen to expand their presence in Manchester, and Søstrene Grene’s commitment demonstrates that this momentum extends well beyond fashion into alternative and experiential retail.

Founded in Denmark in 1973, Søstrene Grene is renowned for its distinctive shopping experience, offering a wide assortment of homeware, kitchen items, craft supplies, soft furnishings, toys, gift ideas and seasonal décor. The brand now operates across Europe with a growing UK presence, attracting shoppers looking for design-led yet affordable products in an immersive retail environment.

Steve Gray, head of European retail asset management at Global Mutual, said: “We are thrilled to welcome Søstrene Grene to Manchester Arndale. Their unique offer and engaging store concept will add further variety to our retail mix, giving customers another reason to visit and stay longer. This letting is further proof of the demand we are seeing from leading brands from across different sectors keen to open flagship spaces in Manchester.”

Søstrene Grene’s co-owner and Group CEO, Mikkel Grene said: “We are very much looking forward to opening yet another store in Manchester further strengthening our local presence and at such a prime location as Arndale. We have been warmly welcomed by the local customers who seem to appreciate our aesthetically pleasing and affordable products and not least the store experience, so we cannot wait to open the doors and invite even more new and existing customers to explore Søstrene Grene’s wonderful world.”

Metis Real Estate and Time Retail Partners are Manchester Arndale’s retained letting agents.
