Livingston Designer OutletLivingston Designer Outlet, Scotland’s largest outlet destination, has seen a significant uplift in sales for tenants that have recently invested in store refits and design upgrades. The scheme has seen brands reinvesting in their stores, demonstrating the value of an improved customer experience.

Premium global cookware brand, Le Creuset, relocated to a new, larger store at Livingston Designer Outlet in November 2024 and has since seen knockout sales results. The new fitout design, based on its flagship store in Barcelona, led to immediate success, with a +48% uplift in sales YOY across November and December 2024. The same period also saw a +33% uplift in footfall and +8% boost in conversion YOY when compared to its previous sales unit.

The new store’s positive impact continued into Q1 2025 with +42% sales growth, +31% increase in footfall and +7% boost to conversion YOY, leading to the Livingston Designer Outlet store being named as one of the brand’s top five performing outlets.

Nicky Lovell, head of outlets and retail business development at Global Mutual, said: “It’s clear to see from the performance of Le Creuset at Livingston Designer Outlet that reinvestment into outlet stores is crucial for brands to maintain appeal and stay relevant for customers. The outlet sector continues to go from strength-to-strength and seeing popular global retailers buying into destinations like this is exciting. These refits further emphasise that outlet shopping is very much at the forefront of the some of the world’s most exciting brands and we are delighted to be part of it.”
