Superdrug announces Solait price reductions in a bid to make sun protection more affordable

Today, leading accessible health and beauty retailer, Superdrug, announces significant price reductions across its popular own brand Solait suncare range, reinforcing its commitment to keeping sun protection accessible and affordable for customers.

The move represents strong price action across key Solait products, with a number of best-selling lines now reduced in price and several products now starting from just £4, positioning Solait as one of the best value suncare ranges available on the UK high street.

With research from the Child Poverty Action Group finding that almost a quarter (23%) of low-income families found it challenging or impossible to afford toiletries such as suncream last summer, the need for more affordable sun protection for the whole family has never been greater.

Over 25 SKUs across the popular Solait range have seen notable price reductions as part of the investment. Solait Sun Lotion SPF30 and SPF50 200ml and Solait Sun Spray SPF30 and SPF50 200ml have been reduced from £5.50 to £5, while Solait Face Fluid SPF30 and SPF50 50ml has dropped from £5 to £4. Solait Aftersun Lotion 200ml and Aftersun Spray 200ml have also been reduced from £5 to £4, and Solait Kids Sensitive Lotion SPF50 has been reduced from £7.50 to £6, helping make everyday sun protection more affordable for families.

The Solait range offers high-quality, effective sun care across a wide range of formats, including lotions, sprays, facial protection and aftersun products. Designed to deliver reliable sun protection for everyday use, the range also includes options for children and sensitive skin. Like all Superdrug own brand products, Solait is also backed by Superdrug’s 100% Money Back Guarantee, giving customers added confidence when trying the range.

Alongside the price investment, Superdrug has also introduced new additions to the Solait including the Solait Aftersun Aerosol Spray 150ml and Solait Scalp and Hair Spray SPF50, both priced at £5.

Jamie Archer, Superdrug’s own brand director, commented: “Sun protection shouldn’t be something families feel they have to compromise on, particularly as we head into the warmer months.

By taking robust price action across our Solait range – including products designed for both adults and children – we’re ensuring our customers can access high-quality sun care that is priced for proper protection, helping the whole family stay protected without having to worry about the cost.”

With Solait known for delivering reliable, 5-star rated sun protection at an affordable price point, customers looking to make smarter choices on everyday essentials this summer can feel confident switching to own brand without compromising on quality.

The Solait range is available in Superdrug stores nationwide and online at superdrug.com.
