Unlock, shop & save: Sainsbury’s rolls out Your Nectar Prices across tills nationwide

Sainsbury'sSainsbury’s is introducing Your Nectar Prices at supermarket tills across the country from Friday 25th July, giving customers a new way to access huge savings on the products they love and buy most.

With Your Nectar Prices, customers get up to 10 personalised offers each week, combining their favourite products and new recommendations based on their shopping habits. In fact, Sainsbury’s has generated over 17 billion personalised discounts since launch through Your Nectar Prices.

Shoppers can expect a regular ‘drop’ of personalised savings, with new Your Nectar Prices made available every Friday. To access these savings, customers must be digitally registered with Nectar which can be done online at www.nectar.com or via the Nectar app. Once registered, simply “tap to unlock” Your Nectar Prices in the Nectar app or website every week, opening the door to potential savings of over £150 per year.  Over one million customers are already using Your Nectar Prices each week via SmartShop, Sainsburys.co.uk and the grocery app, resulting in over £60 million customer savings in the last year alone.

Mark Given, chief marketing, data & sustainability officer at Sainsbury’s, says: “Over the past few years, we’ve made significant strides with Nectar, with Nectar Prices being a big part of that success, bringing great value to millions of customers. But what really sets us apart is that we’re leading the way by making loyalty personal. Shoppers want to feel recognised and rewarded and while Nectar Prices are for everyone, we know our customers love an offer that is made just for them. That’s exactly what Your Nectar Prices delivers – it’s about giving customers those extra savings on the products they love and buy most.

“Every week over a million customers are making the most of their personalised discounts and, by rolling this out to our checkouts, we’re opening the door for millions more to grab fantastic offers on the items they already purchase and maybe even discover some new favourites.”

Sainsbury’s was first to market four years ago with personalised pricing, allowing customers to combine Your Nectar Prices with existing Nectar Prices. Since the launch of Your Nectar Prices, billions of personalised offers6 have been generated across multiple categories including dairy, fruit and veg, bakery, meat and fish, as well as household, baby, pet, health and beauty products.

From Friday 25th July, customers will need to select the Your Nectar Prices they want to use by unlocking them in the Nectar app or website before they start shopping – the same way they do to get their bonus points offers, which means all offers will be available in one convenient place and refreshed every Friday. Once unlocked, personalised prices can be redeemed at any Sainsbury’s supermarket checkout or through online purchases. Additionally, customers will still benefit from Nectar Prices, which are discounted prices available to all Nectar customers on 1000s of selected products when they shop.
