Witchmark Distillery, the multi-award-winning, B Corp- certified spirits producer based on the historic Fonthill Estate in Wiltshire, is rapidly expanding in the UK market across both the on-trade and off-trade, as they secure several new listings across UK retailers and hospitality groups.
Since launching their range of single-origin gins and vodka, Witchmark has rapidly expanded their UK footprint, with listings across prestigious hospitality groups, luxury retailers and leading wholesalers. Its spirits are now available in an expanding portfolio of on-trade venues, including Fuller’s, Young’s, Hall and Woodhouse, St Austell, Arkells pubs, Butcombe pubs and The Ivy Collection, as well as Harbour Hotels, THE NICI, New Forest Hotels, Red Carnation Hotels and The Hideout in Bath, an industry-acclaimed Top 50 and Pinnacle award-winning cocktail bar.
“We chose to work with Witchmark early on because they’re producing fantastic liquid with a genuine commitment to sustainability,” shares Louis Moon, Hideout’s Operations Director. “Being a local distillery with an ethos that aligns perfectly with ours at The Hideout makes the partnership even more meaningful. They’re an exciting brand with huge growth potential, and we’re proud to champion them behind our bar.”
Gabor Molnar, bar manager at THE NICI, adds: “At THE NICI, we’re drawn to brands that balance style, substance, and a touch of the unexpected. Witchmark does just that: refined, bold and full of character. Their creativity reflects our coastal-luxe spirit: confident, relaxed and playful.”
Witchmark has also partnered with several high-profile organisations and venues, including AFC Bournemouth and Bath Rugby, where Witchmark is the Official Spirits Supplier following a multi-year partnership deal.
In the off-trade, Witchmark’s presence continues to grow through leading retailers such as Berry Bros. & Rudd, Amathus Drinks, Hedonism Wines, and Master of Malt, alongside a growing network of independent bottle shops nationwide.
“We are delighted to have added Witchmark Distillery to our non-agency portfolio this summer, with their gins and vodka now available across all of our retail estate,” comments Rob Gray, Purchasing Manager at Amathus Drinks. “The brand team at Witchmark has supported our new partnership with a series of magnificent window displays at our Bath, Oxford, and Soho stores. As well as their fantastic spirits, Witchmark’s commitment to sustainability, recognised by their securing of the highest-scoring B Corp certification for a distillery in England, is not only hugely impressive but also very much aligned with our values here at Amathus. We’re very excited for our burgeoning relationship to continue to flourish for years to come.”
From their state-of-the-art distillery, located within a 17th-century stone barn on the Fonthill Estate, Witchmark produces their spirits using barley grown in the surrounding fields and water drawn from chalk aquifers beneath the Wiltshire downs. Its range includes the bold Black Lime Gin, the citrus-forward Wiltshire Gin, the timeless London Dry Gin, their smooth Single Origin English Vodka and their New Make Spirit, a preview of the English whisky set to launch in 2027.
“We’re incredibly honoured to see Witchmark represented by so many respected retailers and hospitality partners in less than a year of trading,” says Jon Carson, co-founder of Witchmark Distillery. “It’s a testament to our distilling team’s dedication to crafting world-class spirits, and to our sales and marketing team’s passion for building meaningful relationships across the trade. To be listed alongside some of the most iconic names in British hospitality so soon after launch is both humbling and energising for what’s ahead.”
With a growing UK footprint, ambitious expansion plans, and their first English whisky set to be released in 2027, Witchmark Distillery is certainly one to watch in the future of English spirit producers.
