FatFace partners with The National Forest for new clothing collection

This International Day of Forests (21 March 2023), lifestyle brand FatFace is launching a new collection in partnership with the National Forest. The range includes women’s, men’s and kid’s styles and will be available in stores as well as on fatface.com.

Inspired by the flora and fauna that grow and live in the National Forest, this collection is full of whimsical prints and utility styles that nod to the forest’s mining history.

Each garment has been carefully designed to be kinder to the environment. All fabric bases are made from responsibly sourced cotton, prints are created digitally, giving greater depth of colour, whilst reducing water consumption and reducing wastage of materials.

Kate Brown, product director, FatFace, says: “We are delighted to have collaborated with the National Forest on this incredible range. Our partnership started a few years ago as a key cornerstone of our sustainability strategy and we were so inspired by everything we saw in the forest and learned about its heritage; we felt a product collaboration was an exciting next step. The collection draws from the mining heritage of the National Forest using workwear influenced styling, balanced with the beauty of nature returning to the heart of our country.  The prints are hand drawn and completely unique, and we were determined to create the range as responsibly as we can while still delivering the perfect fit and quality for our customers.”

The FatFace x the National Forest collection is part of FatFace’s groundbreaking 75-year partnership with the charity, a celebration of their long-term commitment to sustainability and being carbon neutral in the UK since 2021.

This innovative partnership includes tree planting in a new woodland to sequester carbon from the atmosphere, whilst creating something truly special… a forest for everyone to enjoy, for years to come. The new woodland is home to 60,000 new trees, set amongst the scenic countryside and rolling landscapes of the National Forest – growing in the heart of the UK, across parts of Derbyshire, Leicestershire, and Staffordshire.

John Everitt, chief executive, the National Forest Company, says: “Partnering with FatFace on this new clothing range demonstrates our shared commitment to sustainability and quality. From trees and carbon to biodiversity and wellbeing, the partnership is literally growing from strength to strength.

And through this collection we are excited to have such a well-loved brand as FatFace tell the story of the National Forest to a much wider audience – demonstrating how we have turned this place from Black to Green and are creating a sustainable destination for more people to come and be inspired.”

The collection includes dresses from £56, tees from £25 and kidswear from £12.50.
