Today, the UK’s No.1 Independent Non-Alcoholic brand* CleanCo announces it has been honoured with three Great Taste Awards for its Clean R (Rum alternative), Clean W (Whiskey alternative) and Clean V (Vodka alternative).
Founded in 2019 by entrepreneur and British TV personality Spencer Matthews, CleanCo offers consumers premium non-alcoholic spirits designed to replicate the taste, mouthfeel and overall experience of traditional premium spirits, just without the alcohol.

The Great Taste Awards are globally recognised as one of the most esteemed accolades in the food and beverage industry, with thousands of products tested each year by an expert panel of over 500 judges.
Judges described Clean R as a spirit with “appealing fruit and a fiery kick that lifts the finish”, with a “lovely colour and a punchy aroma of demerara, pineapple, vanilla a touch of orange, caramel – overall evocative of Caribbean rum”, whilst Clean W is described as having a “heat that would definitely work well in carrying the flavour compounds in a cocktail”, with an “enjoyable aroma of caramel, vanilla, apple and a hint of honey and ginger”. Consumer favourite Clean V was described as “fresh, bright” and with “great length”, finding it a “tasty vodka alternative”.

The wins come on the back of recent retail expansion in both the UK and US, with distribution wins in Tesco, Asda, Waitrose and Walmart, as well as a booming presence in the on-trade space with the likes of Hakkasan, Carluccios and Doyle Collection Hotels now all serving “Clean cocktails.”
