Lidl GB is gearing up for an egg-citing Easter weekend, as it provides shoppers with essential tips to navigate one of the busiest bank holidays of the year.

With last year’s Easter rush clocking nearly 2,000 shoppers per minute on the Saturday, Lidl anticipates even more people will come through its doors to stock up on the discounters best value seasonal favourites.

Plan your visit

The discounter will be open as normal on Good Friday and Saturday, with stores in England and Wales closed on Easter Sunday, reopening on Easter Monday1. As the UK’s fastest growing supermarket2, following a surge of one million new customers last year, Saturday is yet again set to be the busiest day. Based on footfall trends, early birds can beat the peak crowds by visiting between 8am and 10am or after 6pm.

Discover award-winning delights

Elevate your Easter feast with Lidl’s seasonal products, including its Deluxe Lemon & Dill Salmon Side (£9.99) and Deluxe West Country Whole Lamb Leg (£9.99/kg). For something egg-traordinary, look no further than its sweet treats endorsed by the prestigious Good Housekeeping institute, such as its Triple Chocolate Marbled Egg (£6.99), Deluxe Dessert Tasting Collection Easter Egg (£5.99) or Deluxe Luxury Hot Cross Buns (£1.25 or 2 for £2).

Unlock Lidl Plus Rewards

Bag some extra Easter joy with Lidl Plus – until the 30th March, Lidl Plus customers can collect stamps with every £1 spent on Lidl’s Favorina Easter range. With every 5 stamps collected customers can enter into a prize draw for the chance to win an £100 coupon to use on their next shop3.

This latest update from the discounter comes after it beat competitors Aldi, M&S, Sainsbury’s and Tesco after being voted ‘Grocer of the Year’ by industry leaders, due to its impressive growth over the past 12 months and its value offering.
