Simply Roasted reveals an exclusive new print from illustrator to celebrate the launch of its new sour cream & chive crisps

Simply Roasted, the champion of lower fat, fully roasted crisps, is encouraging customers to “take five with sour cream & chive” – its newest crisp flavour, launching in April. The supporting digital marketing campaign will focus on the importance of finding small moments for self-care in the day.

The new sour cream & chive crisps will join the line-up of Simply Roasted’s five other flavours: sea salt, black truffle, sea salt & cider vinegar, mature cheddar & onion and limited edition duck & hoisin. Each flavour contains 50% less fat than regular crisps, and under 99 calories per serving.

Available in both single serve (21.5g) and sharing size (93g), the new Norfolk-made crisps feature a creamy, tangy flavour, with hints of fresh herbs. Made with real, sliced potatoes, the crisps are both vegan-friendly and gluten-free, and are the only roasted potato crisps on the UK market.

Stuart Monk, Managing Director, Simply Roasted says: “Brilliant flavour is so important in our category. Traditionally crisps that are ‘better for you’ often fall into the trap of also being ‘blander for you’. We’re on a mission to prove that while our crisps are under 99 calories, contain 50% less fat and are made with 25% less salt than regular crisps, they can be just as crunchy and flavourful, if not even more so.

“We know our customers look to us for high quality, and slightly more indulgent flavours. Sour cream & chive feels like a great next step for the range, and will help us continue to fill the gap between health and indulgence for customers.”

To support the launch, Simply Roasted has teamed up with painter and print designer, Becky Boden, who has created a limited edition A3 print, available to purchase on www.simplyroastedcrisps.co.uk (£20). The print is created in Becky’s trademark pastel colours and heroes Simply Roasted’s newest sour cream & chive flavour, set amongst a backdrop of candles, mugs and other calming references.

Artist, Becky Boden comments: “My paintings are inspired by things that bring me joy, and honestly, what’s more joyful and important than giving yourself time to relax with some of your favourite things? For me that’s often a cuppa and a bag of crisps! I hope it’ll encourage others to do the same.”

Simply Roasted’s new sour cream & chive crisps are available online from www.simplyroastedcrisps.co.uk and through Whole Foods, Amazon, Amazon Fresh and Booths.
