Funding for Bristol department store to boost energy transition

Green energy group, Bristol City Leap is proud to announce its sponsorship of the Energy Department at Sparks Department Sore in Bristol for the second consecutive year.

As part of this commitment, Bristol City Leap is providing a £10,000 sponsorship, alongside updates to the department’s information boards to ensure that visitors are well-informed about the latest initiatives and progress in the city’s energy transformation, as well as how they can actively engage with and benefit from these advancements.

James Sterling, communications and social value manager at Bristol City Leap, commented: “We are thrilled to continue our sponsorship of the Energy Department at Sparks Bristol. By providing up-to-date information and engaging directly with the community, we are helping to drive the city’s ambitious decarbonisation goals”.

The new information boards provide details clean energy projects in the city, which include retrofitting private and social housing, large-scale renewable initiatives like wind turbines and solar farms.

Sparks Bristol, a unique and innovative department store co-created by the Global Goals Centre and Artspace Lifespace, serves as a vibrant hub for sustainable development, creativity, and education. Located in the heart of the city, Sparks Bristol offers a range of shops, installations, and events that inspire visitors to take meaningful, money-saving actions on climate, equality, and wellbeing.

The Energy Department, proudly sponsored by Bristol City Leap, is a focal point within Sparks Bristol, providing a space where residents can learn about the city’s pioneering energy initiatives. The department serves as a vital resource for those looking to reduce their carbon footprint and energy bills, offering advice from Bristol City Leap, Bristol Energy Cooperative, and other local groups.
