Leading 0.0% French wine brand Moderato launches in Majestic

From December, shoppers will no longer second guess their alcohol-free wine purchases for their festive meals and for upcoming Dry January, as award-winning alcohol-free French wine brand Moderato becomes available in 212 Majestic stores up and down the country, as well as online – through the retailer’s partnership with leading no and low alcohol movement, Club Soda. Following fast-growing demand for mindful consumption options, Majestic has partnered with Club Soda as a direct response to Majestic’s sales of low and no-alcohol drinks skyrocketing by more than 600% since March 2022.

Moderato has been created with the expertise of traditional, unparalleled French wine making combined with leading technological advancements in 0.0% ABV wines. Created to be enjoyed with food and as one of Club Soda’s best-selling brands the listing is a resounding endorsement from the most respected voice in the category.

Already available through some of the UK’s top restaurants as well as no and low retailers, shoppers can now pick-up a delicious high-quality red (Moderato Cuvee Revolutionaire Colombard) or white (Moderato Revolutionaire Merlot Tannat) at Majestic – the perfect <0.5% accompaniments to any dish. So, sit back, sip, savour and celebrate during the festive season, Dry January and beyond.

With backgrounds in distilling and sustainable drinks respectively, founders Sebastien and Fabien joined forces with Oenologist Frédéric Brochet to create a line of 0.0% and <0.5% ABV cuvées dedicated to wine lovers. Carefully de-alcoholised and blended to reach the desired expression for each cuveé, the resulting wines honour the profile of the original grape, while offering consumers a low-sugar, low-calorie option.

Where wine lovers have been let down in the past from unfermented grape juices or only partially de-alcoholised wine, Moderato sets themselves apart with a dynamic and leading technological process of de-alcoholisation. Starting with a vinted wine, either natural wine aromas or aromas from the original wine are re-introduced following de-alcoholisation.

“We are thrilled to partner with Majestic Wine, one of the UK’s leading wine retailers,” said Fabien Marchand-Cassagne, Co-Founder & CEO of Moderato Wines. “The listing represents an incredible opportunity for us to introduce some of our portfolio of wines to Majestic’s discerning customers who are seeking quality, character and authenticity in every bottle. We’re excited to bring Moderato’s artisanal approach to wine production to their shelves and look forward to growing our presence in the UK together.”

Moderato Wines available at Majestic from December:

● Moderato Cuvee Revolutionaire Colombard (<0.5%) – £13.99 Single bottle price / £11.99 Mix Any Six

● Moderato Cuvee Revolutionaire Merlot Tannat (<0.5%) – £13.99 Single bottle price / £11.99 Mix Any Six
