Gordon Ramsay tells home cooks to ‘Skip the Cow’

Gordon RamsayFlora announces its new partnership with Chef Gordon Ramsay, as he tries a fresh approach in the kitchen. The globally renowned Chef has now adopted Flora, the plant-based alternative to cow butter to help home cooks elevate their usual cooking routine.

Amongst Ramsay’s many accolades, he is arguably best known for his commitment to helping home cooks deliver in the kitchen. This new partnership is doing just that. Emphasising that switching to Flora is an easy way to upgrade home cooking and baking without compromising on taste or performance.

Made from seven natural ingredients and with at least 75% less climate impact*, Flora is an easy kitchen switch that’s better for the planet than dairy butter.

Gordon Ramsay says: “I believe in good, honest cooking with quality ingredients, and I can genuinely say, Flora has blown me away. From scrambled eggs to chocolate cake, I have put the product through its paces. It gives me the creaminess and rich taste I get from butter, whilst being more sustainable. I would encourage home cooks to make the switch, try it for themselves and see what they can create!”

Flora will work with Ramsay to showcase the quality and performance of its products as ingredients in the kitchen. The world-class chef will put the brand’s products to the test to show people how they can use them to add a touch of class to their cooking and baking – be it a chocolate cake, a delicious risotto or fluffy pancakes. After all, if it didn’t perform in the kitchen, he wouldn’t put his name to it.

Flora’s partnership with Gordon Ramsay hasn’t come a moment too soon as research out today reveals that 48% of home cooks in Britain rely on the same five recipes, leaving their taste buds – and creativity – unfulfilled.

The study found that 51% of people consider cooking a chore or time-consuming, with nearly half (47%) of Brits not looking forward to it because of the hassle of cleaning up afterwards, with a quarter of Brits saying it’s due to a perceived lack of skills. In addition, 30% of home cooks have a repertoire of only 3-5 dishes they feel confident preparing from scratch.

In partnership with Flora, Chef Ramsay wants home cooks to break up with bland kitchen habits and elevate their cooking and baking.

Jorn Socquet, chief marketing officer developed markets, Flora Food Group, says: “I couldn’t be prouder to announce our new ‘Skip the Cow’ campaign featuring the iconic Gordon Ramsay. This campaign represents a bold step forward in showcasing the incredible versatility and taste of Flora for cooking and baking. Gordon’s passion for exceptional food aligns perfectly with our commitment to innovation and offering sustainable, dairy free alternatives that don’t compromise on flavour or performance. And if Gordon Ramsay thinks it’s good, who are we to disagree?”

The new ad campaign, ‘Skip the Cow’, featuring Chef Gordon Ramsay will be rolled out globally on TV, Meta and Youtube channels from today.
