The 20th edition of the SIEC – the Retail and Commercial Property Trade Show – was held under the banner of success on 11 and 12 June 2025 at Paris Expo Porte de Versailles. Centred around the unifying theme “TOGETHER”, this milestone edition marked a turning point for the event, with 100% of the exhibition space sold and the full presence of major commercial real estate brokers: Cushman & Wakefield, Savills, CBRE, JLL, BNP Paribas Real Estate, Newmark, Knight Frank and EOL Commerce.
With over 100 exhibitors and 4,400 attendees – more than 60% of whom represented retail brands and retail management – SIEC 2025 brought together all the key players in the industry. The event focused on the major transformational challenges facing the sector: creating vibrant and social retail spaces, revitalising regions, driving environmental transition, and exploring marketing innovation.
Fresh format, larger spaces, greater impact
For this new edition, SIEC 2025 embraced a true spirit of innovation with several major new features. The exhibition space was extended by over 1,000 m², allowing for the introduction of new themed pavilions dedicated to key sector challenges: Cities & Regions, Marketing & Data, Solutions & Services, and Leisure. These innovative zones highlighted cutting-edge solutions, advanced technologies, and interactive experiences designed to foster dialogue and discovery.
Among the standout innovations was the brand-new Esplanade – an open, welcoming space created to encourage spontaneous meetings and informal exchanges between attendees. The Food Market also offered a high-quality, diverse culinary experience, enriching the visitor journey and boosting the overall appeal of the show. The redesigned Business Lounge and Club Enseignes, in partnership with PROCOS, enhanced networking opportunities through dynamic new formats and live demonstrations.
This anniversary edition fully embodied SIEC’s ambition to combine tradition with modernity, delivering an enriched, interactive and forward-looking experience for both visitors and exhibitors. There is no doubt that this year, SIEC injected fresh momentum into the commercial property sector, creating genuine business opportunities in a market that continues to evolve.
A central theme: “bringing people together”
The theme “Together” struck a particularly meaningful chord in a sector undergoing profound transformation. SIEC 2025 highlighted the essential role that retail plays in fostering social connections and revitalising local areas—embracing all types of retail spaces, including towns and regions. These are increasingly evolving towards mixed-use developments, becoming vibrant living spaces that blend leisure, services, and a wider diversity of brands.
This momentum perfectly embodied the unifying theme “Together”, which was especially well received by the market. It underscored the growing need to meet rising visitor expectations, deliver an impeccable customer experience, and place greater emphasis on architecture, aesthetics, and service quality. A major trend has emerged: transforming spaces that were once purely transactional into genuine places for human connection—celebrating community life and strengthening both the local economy and social fabric.
The event welcomed over 100 exhibitors and 4,400 participants, with more than 60% of visitors representing retail brands and retail management. There was also a noticeable diversification in attendee profiles, with an increased presence of public-sector stakeholders, marketing executives, and commercial site managers.
Arnaud Gallet, director of SIEC, stated: “SIEC 2025 embodied our ambition to bring together an increasingly diverse and committed ecosystem, in response to the challenges of urban and commercial transformation. Our goal was to create an innovative environment that facilitates and enhances exchanges between public and private stakeholders alike.”

The CMCV Congress: a strategic event for local areas
Another key moment in this year’s edition was the 10th National Congress of the Club des Managers de Centre-Ville (CMCV), which took place on 12 June to open the second day of the show. This unmissable gathering brought together public and private stakeholders committed to revitalising town centres and local areas. The programme featured talks, case studies and discussions on crucial themes such as digital transformation, using data to support local commercial strategy, and collaboration between local authorities and retailers. The event was firmly focused on co-construction and collective intelligence.
Greater dialogue and a catalyst for innovation
Siec 2025 confirmed its role as a catalyst for innovation and collaboration, bringing together a broad ecosystem and reinforcing the collective momentum essential to transforming retail spaces.
“Siec 2025 has once again proved itself to be the go-to platform for bringing together everyone involved in retail and retail property. More than just a trade show, it is a true driver of innovation and partnerships—key to helping transform retail spaces into places that are more open, responsible, and closely connected to local areas. This anniversary edition marks a turning point in the evolution of the event, which has been redesigned to better reflect the needs and expectations of our sector,” concluded Christophe Noël, General Delegate of FACT.
