Charles Tyrwhitt returns to Glasgow with new Buchanan Street store

Charles TyrwhittBritish menswear brand Charles Tyrwhitt has opened its latest UK store in Glasgow this Friday, relocating to a new home at 34 Buchanan Street. Housed in a Grade II listed former British Linen Bank, the 2,100sq ft space (1,300sq ft trading) blends the building’s heritage character with modern retail innovation.

Charles Tyrwhitt has worked closely with Glasgow City Council to sensitively restore the building’s historic features, creating a space that respects the city’s rich past while delivering a contemporary customer experience.

In line with the brand’s forward-looking retail strategy, the Glasgow store also introduces the brand’s new mobile POS system, enabling team members to support customers anywhere on the shop floor. From iPad-led consultations that showcase the full range to swift “Tap to Pay” checkouts for time-pressed shoppers, the technology enhances both convenience and personal service.

The store will also showcase Charles Tyrwhitt’s growing 1:1 appointment service, a tailored offering designed to give customers a more personalised shopping experience. Shoppers can book time with an in-store expert for guidance on fit, styling and product selection, whether they’re discovering the brand for the first time or looking to refine a long-standing wardrobe. Already proving popular across other stores, the service reflects Charles Tyrwhitt’s commitment to elevating the in-store experience and building deeper connections with its customers.

The new opening comes as Charles Tyrwhitt strengthens its Scottish presence, building on the strong performance of its Edinburgh store in recent years. Data insights also show a loyal base of Glasgow customers already shopping online, now invited to experience the brand’s signature quality shirts, tailoring and versatile casualwear in person.

The store is now open, and you can find the entrance in 34 Buchanan Street Glasgow G1 3LB.

Charles TyrwhittRetail director at Charles Tyrwhitt, Lewis Felix, comments: “The excitement of opening a new store will never wear off, and our Glasgow opening marks our third new store opening in three months, having opened Lakeside in late June and Solihull earlier this month. Buchanan street is an iconic and buzzing retail hub, and we’re really excited about the prospect of being a part of that, once again.

At Charles Tyrwhitt, our mission is to make it easy for men to dress well, and we are very much looking forward to kitting out the people of Glasgow (as well as those visiting the city). Whilst we are famous for our shirts, our Glasgow store will showcase a broad product offering, from tailoring and versatile smart casual pieces to summer staples like polos and linen.”
