Trident Limited, one of the largest integrated manufacturers of home textiles, paper, yarn, and chemicals, has announced its financial and operational results for the year ended 31 March 2025. With a strong footprint across 100 countries and long-standing partnerships with leading British retailers and e-commerce platforms, Trident Ltd, which has reported total income of £651 million*, a 3.5% increase from the previous year, continues to reinforce its position as a global leader in home textiles and sustainable paper manufacturing.

Trident’s export revenues accounted for 53% of sales, underpinned by strong demand for Indian bed and bath linens in the US and Europe. EBITDA reached £89 million*, with disciplined cost management reducing finance costs by 16% and lowering net debt-to-EBITDA to 0.95x. Profit after tax stood at £34 million*.

Operational highlights of 2024/2025

  • An increase of 15 manufacturing units in Punjab and Madhya Pradesh
  • 57% revenue from Bed & Bath Linen, reflecting strength in home textiles
  • Number One global manufacturer of wheat straw-based copier paper
  • Workforce of over 17,500

At the heart of Trident’s growth strategy is a commitment to responsible business and environmental stewardship:

  • 52.74% of power was sourced from renewable energy
  • 97% of water was recycled in towel and sheeting production at Budhni
  • 37% reduction in Scope 1 & 2 emissions year-on-year
  • CSA score of 56 in S&P Global’s Corporate Sustainability Assessment, a 34-point improvement

Commenting on the results, Rajinder Gupta, founder and chairman of Trident Limited, said: “At Trident, weaving goes beyond textiles – it is about interlacing purpose with progress. This year’s performance reflects disciplined execution and our commitment to building a sustainable, innovation-led business. We are proud to supply markets worldwide with responsibly made products while delivering long-term value for our stakeholders.”

During the same period, Trident was honoured with the Vastra Ratna Award for its contribution to the textile industry and the ET Best Organisation for Women Award, recognising its inclusive culture and leadership in diversity. The company also secured patents in product innovation, reinforcing its focus on intellectual property and differentiation.

Trident reports that it will continue to diversify across textiles, paper, yarn and chemicals. Its luxury, eco-conscious, wellness-focused, and hospitality-grade home textile collections are expected to gain traction in global markets, while its branded copier and maplitho paper ranges expand with its new eco-smart launches.

The company also plans to capture further growth in Europe, the Middle East and Australia, while accelerating innovation in fashion bedding, digital printing and technical textiles.
