German Doner Kebab (GDK) is set to open its doors at Skelton Lake Services this December, bringing its fast-growing premium kebab experience to one of Yorkshire’s most popular service destinations.
Perfectly located for commuters, families, and travellers, the new Skelton Lake restaurant will give guests the chance to enjoy GDK’s bold, flavour-packed menu – redefining what roadside dining can offer.
GDK has transformed the kebab for a new generation, serving high-quality premium meats, crisp locally sourced salads, handmade signature sauces, and its now-iconic toasted sesame waffle bread. 100% halal and freshly prepared to order, the menu offers a modern, elevated take on a much-loved classic – setting a new standard for fast-casual dining.
This opening marks GDK’s fifth motorway service site in partnership with Extra MSA, building on the success of its restaurants at Baldock, Cambridge, Peterborough, and with Cobham to also open this December. The new site will also create 30 new local jobs across both front-of-house and kitchen teams.

The launch follows the introduction of GDK’s £5 Value Menu and their hottest drop yet, their Inferno OG, featuring their spiciest sauce yet. Guests can enjoy fan favourites including the OG Kebab, GDK Doner Rice Bowl, and Boss Boxes, as well as indulgent sides like Hash Brown Bites, Chocolate Waffle Bread, and Berliner Doughnut Bites.
The new German Doner Kebab Skelton Lake Services will officially open in December 2025, offering dine-in and takeaway options seven days a week.
