The EntertainerBritain’s toy shop, The Entertainer, has announced American Express is now accepted as a payment method in all the retailer’s UK stores and online at www.thetoyshop.com.

The agreement, which recently launched across The Entertainer’s 160 UK stores and online, gives American Express Cardmembers the choice to use their preferred payment method when shopping at The Entertainer.

The introduction of American Express payment forms part of The Entertainer’s commitment to being the UK’s most convenient toy retailer and enhancing its overall shopping experience.

To celebrate the all-new agreement, American Express Cardmembers can enjoy an exclusive cashback offer. Until Wednesday 31st December, eligible Amex Cardmembers who spend £40 or more in a single transaction in store or online at The Entertainer will receive £10 cashback – with the offer available for the first 60,000 participating American Express Cardmembers.

Andrew Murphy OBE, group chief executive officer of The Entertainer, said: “As the UK’s most convenient toy retailer, we are committed to investing in ways that make shopping simple, flexible and rewarding for our customers; therefore, we are proud to joining forces with American Express, which will help us do just that.

“With more people in the UK choosing to spend on their American Express Card, the introduction of the payment method across our store estate and online will provide shoppers with the chance to pay using their preferred card method, wherever and however they choose to shop.”

Dan Edelman, general manager, UK merchant services, said: “American Express is now accepted for payment at more locations than ever before in the UK, and we’re committed to ensuring our Cardmembers can use their American Express Card at the places they want to spend. We’re delighted that The Entertainer can now welcome the spending power of American Express Cardmembers.”
