The Convenience retailer is planning for an extra fizz in sales on the day before Christmas with around 250,000 bottles heading into its stores, as they expect purchases of Prosecco on Christmas Eve to average more than a bottle every second, across its 2300 stores.
Adding a sparkle to any occasion or celebration, Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve are the only times of the year that Co-op sees Prosecco out-sell a pint of milk.
