Beloved British restaurant Bill’s teams up with ‘Potato Queen’ Poppy Cooks For 25th anniversary menu takeover

Bill’sBeloved British restaurant Bill’s has teamed up with chef and internet food sensation Poppy Cooks to launch a limited-edition menu celebrating the ultimate comfort ingredient: potatoes, of course.

To celebrate their milestone 25th anniversary, the collaboration will be landing in all 49 Bill’s restaurants nationwide from 13th April until the 8th June, bringing together Bill’s signature feel-good dining with the bold, indulgent flavours that have made Poppy one of the UK’s most recognisable food creators.

Known to millions online as the “Potato Queen”, Poppy has created three exclusive dishes inspired by the crispy, nostalgic comfort food her audience loves most.

  • Poppy’s Burger – a beef patty topped with crispy smashed potato, caramelised onions, cheese and secret sauce in a linseed bun, served with seasoned tater tots.

  • Poppy’s Loaded Tater Tots – golden seasoned tater tots piled high with crispy bacon pieces, crumbled feta, chilli and a hot maple drizzle.

  • Poppy’s Crispy Smash Potato Salad – spiced garlic and herb smashed baby potatoes with pickled onions and a sour cream and chive dressing.

For Poppy, the collaboration marks a milestone moment, bringing her viral recipes from social media into restaurants for the very first time.

Speaking on the collaboration Poppy said: “Bill’s has been my go-to whenever I’m in town shopping with friends and fancy a quick bite. It’s always had that cosy, feel-good energy I love – the kind of place where the food feels comforting, homely and genuinely delicious. That’s completely my vibe, so working with Bill’s just made perfect sense.”

“Usually my recipes live online, so this is the first time people can walk into a restaurant and actually order something I’ve created. Seeing people sit down and enjoy one of my dishes in real life is surreal – a proper ‘I’ve made it’ moment.”

“If I had to choose a favourite, it would be the crispy smash potato salad. It’s inspired by one of my most viral recipes and it’s something I haven’t really seen on restaurant menus before. The potatoes are super crispy and full of flavour, but the pickled onions and dressing bring a freshness that balances it perfectly.”

Tom James, managing director at Bill’s, said: “Poppy’s love of potatoes, big flavour and proper comfort food makes her the perfect partner for Bill’s. These dishes are fun and full of personality – exactly the food our guests love to discover when they come through the door.”

“It’s been an exciting year for Bill’s as we continue to grow the brand across the UK, and celebrate a monumental 25 years of the brand this year. And it’s collaborations like this that allow us to keep our menu fresh, playful and relevant while staying true to the feel-good dining experience we’re known for.”

To complement the dishes, Bill’s has also partnered with Casamigos and Ron Santiago de Cuba to launch two cocktails featuring, including a Pineapple & Matcha Daiquiri and a Watermelon & Basil Margarita.

The launch comes during a period of strong momentum for the restaurant brand. This year alone, Bill’s has opened its largest ever restaurant at Westfield Stratford City as well as announcing a new location at Heathrow Airport, further expanding its national footprint.

At a time when the hospitality industry continues to face significant challenges, Bill’s ongoing expansion reflects the enduring appeal of its warm hospitality, vibrant spaces and comforting British-inspired menu.

Since opening its doors, Bill’s has been rooted in the idea of making guests feel welcome and ensuring everyone leaves happy, offering a varied and eclectic menu that ensures there is something for all tastebuds. Whether it’s a morning coffee, a long lunch, or an evening celebration, always with the feeling of a home away from home.

The Bill’s x Poppy specials will be available in Bill’s restaurants nationwide from 13th April until June 8th. You can book your table here: www.bills-website.co.uk
