Whole Foods Market is opening the doors to its newest store in Angel, Islington, marking the first in a series of new London locations as the brand expands its UK footprint. The 3,600 ft store, located at 359 Upper Street, N1 0PD, has been designed as a convenient, neighbourhood-focused format, offering customers high-quality natural and organic products alongside fresh, ready-to-eat meals and everyday essentials. The grocer will host a Grand Opening celebration with events beginning early Thursday before the store opens its doors.
The first 200 shoppers in line will receive complimentary freshly-baked croissants, Driscoll’s berries, Old Spike coffees and limited-edition Whole Foods Market Angel tote bags. Queues starting from 7:30am ahead of the doors opening at 9am.
“Angel is a vibrant residential area with a strong sense of community. We’ve taken that into account when shaping the store, from the team we’ve built to the products we offer,” said Vamshi Pakala, store team leader for Whole Foods Market. “We’ll stock a nice range of fresh and everyday products, each meeting our high quality standards. Ultimately, we want this to feel like a neighbourhood store where shoppers enjoy coming back, whether it’s for a quick visit or a full shop.”
