Today Whole Foods Market opens the doors to its newest store in Angel, London, marking the first in a series of new London locations as the brand expands its UK footprint.
Located at 359 Upper Street, N1 0PD, the 3,600 square ft store has been designed as a convenient, neighbourhood-focused format, offering customers high-quality natural and organic products alongside fresh, ready-to-eat meals and everyday essentials.
The opening forms part of Whole Foods Market’s broader growth in London, bringing its carefully curated range to more communities across the capital.
On opening day, queuing will begin at 7:30am with store doors opening at 9 am. Moving forward, the store will then be open 8:00–22:00 Monday to Saturday and 08:00–21:00 on Sundays. To celebrate the opening, the first 200 shoppers in the queue will be gifted bespoke Angel tote bags, freshly baked croissants, Driscoll’s berries and Old Spike coffees.
In store customers can expect a curated selection across fresh produce, prepared foods, bakery and grocery, all meeting Whole Foods Market’s rigorous quality standards. The Angel store will also feature convenient in-store elements including hot food offering, self-serve coffee, and an Amazon kiosk, catering to busy local shoppers and commuters. Plus delivery via Deliveroo will be available shortly after opening.
Samplings from Mojo Maté and others will be taking place during the day, showcasing their Whole Foods Market exclusive products.
Whole Foods Market will also be supporting the local community around the store through their partnership with The Felix Project. At 10am on opening day, team members will be filling a refrigerated van with donated groceries and produce items, which will be distributed to those who need it most in the area.
