Portmeirion and Spode’s are unveiling two brand new Christmas ranges this year: Botanic Garden Christmas Holly and Christmas Tree Yuletide.

Portmeirion is delighted to introduce Botanic Garden Christmas Holly, a new collection for 2026 that brings a refined festive flourish to the brand’s much- loved Botanic Garden heritage.

Designed to capture the warmth and togetherness of the season, Botanic Garden Christmas Holly blends traditional Christmas motifs with a fresh, hand- painted watercolour style. Gentle green foliage, uplifting berry tones and charming botanical details create an inviting tableware collection that combines timeless charm with modern elegance.

From quiet warming winter breakfasts to big Christmas Day tablescapes, the collection has been created to bring natural British wildlife and festive spirit to every occasion. The designs offer an elegant way to layer a seasonal table, whether paired with wooden accents, natural greenery and candlelight, or mixed with classic Portmeirion pieces for a curated, personal look.

Together, the range offers versatile gifting options for hosts, home cooks and collectors of Portmeirion’s distinctive botanical designs. Rooted in Portmeirion’s enduring design heritage, the new collection comprises side, salad and dinner plates, a salad bowl, cereal bowls, latte mugs, espresso cups and the Bella Jug, with all pieces available in a mix of the Robin, Holly and Holly boarder styles. The collection also extends to kitchen accessories and textiles, with pieces such as the Botanic Garden Christmas Holly apron, tea towel, placemats, coasters and double oven glove for the budding bakers.

“Botanic Garden Christmas Holly is a celebration of the craftsmanship and design heritage that have defined Portmeirion for generations. Made in Stoke-on-Trent, the collection reflects the skill of our artisans while introducing a new festive expression of Botanic Garden for today’s homes. The hand-painted feel of the holly, berries and robin motifs brings a sense of care and character to every piece, creating tableware that is designed to become part of the traditions people build around Christmas. It honours the familiarity and collectability our customers value, while offering a lighter, contemporary take that will resonate with a new generation of Portmeirion collectors. At its heart, this launch is about keeping British ceramic heritage relevant: creating beautiful, functional pieces that can be used, gifted and enjoyed year after year,” said Diane Clark, group senior brand manager at Portmeirion.

Spode welcomes in the festive season with the launch of Christmas Tree Yuletide, a captivating new collection that brings fresh storytelling and rich decorative detail to one of the world’s most beloved Christmas ceramic designs.

Christmas Tree Yuletide honours the nostalgia and enduring charm of the original Christmas Tree collection while introducing a warm, expressive new look for contemporary festive entertaining. Each ceramic piece is expertly made in Spode’s Stoke-On-Trent’s factory, passing 22 pairs of hands during production.

Inspired by the much-loved Twelve Days of Christmas carol, the collection layers songbirds, partridges and festive foliage with flowing archival scrollwork, all designed to complement Spode’s iconic Christmas Tree motif.

Rich red tones sit alongside traditional greens and crisp whites, creating a joyful palette that feels both timeless and newly celebratory.

Christmas Tree Yuletide features a hand-painted design paired with classic shapes, that speak to Spode’s enduring craftsmanship, while the decorative pattern brings a sense of occasion to every festive gathering.

Designed to be enjoyed as a complete collection or mixed effortlessly with the classic Christmas Tree or Heritage Green Italian range, Christmas Tree Yuletide beautifully builds a table full of personality, tradition and festive spirit.

The collection comprises dinner plates, salad bowls, soup plates, a rectangular tray, espresso cups and saucers, mugs, a scalloped dresser plate, tablecloth, napkins and table runner. Each piece has been made to elevate both everyday seasonal rituals and memorable celebrations.

The original Spode Christmas Tree pattern has been a treasured part of festivities in homes around the world since 1938. Created by designer Harold Holdway, its characterful tree, adorned with colourful baubles, crackers and lanterns, and topped with a cheerful Santa, has become an enduring symbol of Christmas for generations. Christmas Tree Yuletide builds on that legacy, creating a new pattern to be shared, styled and treasured in homes year after year.

“Spode Christmas Tree is an icon of the festive period. It has a remarkable ability to bring people together and evoke those familiar, joyful traditions that make the season so special. With Christmas Tree Yuletide, we wanted to celebrate that much-loved heritage while offering a fresh, expressive way to dress the table. The collection captures the magic of coming together, creating moments at home, and making memories that can be treasured for years to come,” said Gemma Harper, group senior brand manager at Spode.
