Sweet Freedom’s CHOC SHOT Cherry taps into nostalgic flavour trend

Sweet FreedomSweet Freedom, the all-natural, vegan-friendly brand known for its better-for-you syrups and spreads, has announced the launch of its latest innovation: CHOC SHOT Cherry, a rich, fruity syrup designed to bring a nostalgic “cherry-on-top” moment to everyday indulgence.

Tapping into the growing trend for nostalgic flavours, CHOC SHOT Cherry draws inspiration from the classic Black Forest gateau, combining deep chocolatey notes with sweet, juicy cherry undertones. The result is a versatile syrup that adds a decadent twist to everything from yoghurt and ice cream to coffees, pancakes and milkshakes.

In a move that highlights the brand’s close connection with its community, the flavour was voted for by Sweet Freedom consumers earlier this year and brought to life in just 3 months, showcasing the brand’s agility and commitment to listening to its audience.

Naturally sweetened with fruit and completely free from refined sugar, artificial sweeteners and additives, CHOC SHOT Cherry delivers indulgence without compromise. Like the rest of the Sweet Freedom range, it is vegan, plant-based and a source of fibre.

Deborah Pyner, co-founder of Sweet Freedom, said: “We’re seeing a real appetite for nostalgic flavours that bring comfort and joy, and Black Forest gateau is such an iconic favourite. It’s all about adding a little moment of feel-good indulgence to everyday foods. As consumers increasingly seek out healthier alternatives that don’t sacrifice taste, CHOC SHOT Cherry offers a guilt-free way to recreate classic dessert flavours at home… with just a drizzle!”

CHOC SHOT Cherry is available now via the Sweet Freedom website here for £3.90. It joins the brand’s existing popular range of CHOC SHOT flavours.
