Bio&MeThe UK’s leading gut health food and drink brand, Bio&Me, founded by The Gut Health Doctor, Dr Megan Rossi, PhD RD, is expanding its breakfast portfolio with the launch of two pistachio-based SKUs.

New Pistachio & Vanilla Low Sugar Granola and Pistachio & Chia Overnight Oats tap into the rising popularity of pistachio as a flavour, while staying true to Bio&Me’s science-led gut health credentials.

The launches will be available via Tesco stores nationwide, and at bioandme.co.uk from this week, RRP £3.50/360g (Pistachio & Vanilla Low Sugar Granola), £3.50/350g (Pistachio & Chia Overnight Oats).

Each product has been developed by leading gut health scientist and Bio&Me co-founder, Dr Megan Rossi, specially formulated to deliver a diverse range of plant-based ingredients that are high in fibre, your gut microbiome’s favourite food. Based on Dr Megan’s scientific research, the business believes that people and microbes thrive on variety and deliciously good food.

The Pistachio & Vanilla Low Sugar Granola contains 14 plant-based foods including the likes of pistachio, chia seeds, carrots, coconut and dates, and joins the brand’s original bestselling and Great Taste Award-winning low sugar granola: Low Sugar, Naturally, which is consistently singled out for being one of the healthiest granolas on the market today. Pistachio & Chia Overnight Oats joins recent launches Cocoa and Raspberry & Coconut Overnight Oats, and is brimming with 12 plant-based foods including pistachio, chia seeds, wholegrain oats, almonds, and more.

Carrying the prestigious, EFSA-approved ‘Good For Your Gut’ health claim, the two launches contain no artificial ingredients, sweeteners or palm oil, making them a go-to for those consumers who are increasingly looking for all-natural, gut healthy breakfast options that taste great too.

Dr Megan Rossi, Bio&Me co-founder says of the gut health benefits of pistachio: “Pistachio is having a real moment, and it’s easy to see why. Not only do they bring a naturally delicious, creamy flavour, they’re also rich in gut-loving prebiotics and plant protein, keeping you satisfied for longer with a nourished gut microbiome. At Bio&Me, we’re always led by the science, so choosing pistachios for our new granola and overnight oats isn’t about following a trend for trend’s sake, it’s about pairing great taste with gut health benefits. We hope these launches will resonate with pistachio-loving consumers across the country, delivering a breakfast (or moreish afternoon snack) they genuinely look forward to.”

“We’ve seen strong demand from both consumers and retailers for a Bio&Me take on pistachio, so we were only too happy to oblige,” says Jon Walsh, co-founder & CEO at Bio&Me. “These launches allow us to tap into the trend in a way that’s authentic to Bio&Me, delivering plant diversity and strong gut health credentials. We’ve had fantastic support from the team at Tesco and see this as an exciting opportunity to bring something fresh to the breakfast category that consumers will love.’”

The champion of making good gut healthy easy, Bio&Me continues to go from strength-to-strength as one of the UK’s most trusted names in the gut health space. Based in Chester, the business spans four categories with its range of gut-loving granolas, porridges, mueslis, oat bars, and kefir yoghurts and drinks. Having just surpassed £20 million in retail sales, up 52% year-on-year, Bio&Me has just enjoyed its strongest year to date with 2.8 million boxes of granola and 4 million pots of kefir yoghurt sold in 2025.
