The owners of DukesHill, the renowned British artisan fine food producer, have acquired the Donald Russell brand.
Donald Russell is a long-established premium food business, founded in 1974, and is widely recognised for its exceptional British beef and commitment to quality.
The deal brings together Donald Russell and DukesHill, founded in 1985, combining two respected British fine food brands with decades of heritage, strong direct-to-consumer expertise, and deeply loyal customer bases, to form the UK’s leading group of artisan fine food brands.
Both brands share a long-standing commitment to provenance, artisan craftsmanship and quality, alongside support for British farmers, producers and growers.
Donald Russell will continue to operate as a standalone brand under the leadership of Mark Gallagher, who will now oversee both brands.
Mark Gallagher, CEO of DukesHill and Donald Russell, said: “We’ve always admired Donald Russell and share many similarities; the same passion for creating the highest quality food, a belief that great food starts with responsible & ethical farming, and a focus on delivering exceptional customer service.
Our priority now is on restoring Donald Russell operations, welcoming back its wonderful customers & suppliers, and investing in the long-term future of the Donald Russell brand.”
