Co-op launches new store in Wynyard

Co-op welcomes members and customers of the community into their new Co-op, with the launch of the convenience retailer’s newest store which opens its doors today (Friday, 26 June) to serve the garden village of Wynyard, Co. Durham.

The new Wynyard store opens between 7am-10pm daily, and creates 13 local jobs.

Located in Hanzard Drive, Wynyard, residents can pop to their new Co-op for an extensive range and choice of fresh and chilled products; in-store bakery and, Costa Coffee Express. This sits alongside Co-op’s focus on meal deals and food to go; Fairtrade products; ready meals and meal ideas – including Co-op’s new American-inspired ‘Served’ range; pizzas; fresh meats and dairy; chilled beers and wines, fresh flowers and, everyday essentials.

Parcel collection services are available conveniently via Amazon.

The online home delivery of groceries is offered via Deliveroo, Uber Eats and Just Eat – online orders are picked fresh in the local store and delivered quickly and conveniently in the community.

Payment services are available via PayPoint.

There are offers, deals and promotions throughout the store – which currently includes two stone baked pizzas and four beers for just £5 for members*. Member price savings create additional value for Co-op members who can save more with lower prices on the everyday essential products shoppers buy most.

Soft plastic recycling is available so shoppers can return and recycle materials that are often not universally accepted via household kerbside recycling, such as crisp packets and bread bags, lids from ready meals, biscuit wrappers and, pet food pouches.

There is also customer car parking.

Committed to backing British agriculture, all of Co-op’s own meat, poultry and dairy is 100% British – including in its pies, ready meals and sandwiches.

Fairtrade products are available across the store supporting farmers, workers and their communities around the world who grow and produce products and ingredients for Co-op.
