St. George's Shopping Centre, HarrowSt. George’s Shopping Centre in Harrow town centre has reached full occupancy, a rare milestone in the current retail climate, following a run of new lettings with Several existing operators are also investing and refreshing their store concepts.

US chicken wing chain Wingstop has confirmed it is opening a new restaurant at St. George’s Shopping Centre on the ground floor next to Cards Direct. The 2,510 sq ft site will offer 68 covers, along with dedicated click-and-collect and delivery collection points. Wingstop’s UK and Ireland operator, Lemon Pepper Holdings, recently opened its 100th UK restaurant and reported revenue of £216.4 million for 2025, up 73% year-on-year, with plans for up to 30 further UK openings in 2026. Harrow will be among the newest additions to that expanding estate, with the new restaurant set to open in early November.

Chris Sherriff, CEO at Wingstop UKI, said: “St. George’s has an incredible energy, and we’re thrilled to be opening our doors there in early November. Wingstop fans in the area have been asking for us for a long time — now it’s time to bring the flavour.”

The move follows Ryman’s relocation to a larger unit within the centre, allowing the stationery and office supplies retailer to expand its range and better meet customer demand, while freeing up its former St Anns Road unit for Wingstop’s new restaurant.

The centre will also welcome Juice’n More, a fresh juice and smoothie operator, which is set to open later this month, adding a new health-focused offer to the food and beverage line-up.

Yasser Eltalamis, manager at Juice’n More, said: “We are excited to bring Juice’n More to St. George’s. Our concept offers healthy, fresh juices, milkshakes and smoothies made from natural ingredients. All ingredients are prepared and juiced in front of our customers, ensuring freshness, quality and transparency.”

Existing tenants are also continuing to invest in their presence at the centre. Vue, Pizza Express, TK Maxx, Putt&Play and Vision Express have all recently invested in new upgrades to their stores.

Tikka Nation is now operating under new ownership, with the brand’s head office taking over operation of the St. George’s store from its previous franchisee.

McDonald’s is also undertaking its own refurbishment at the centre, reflecting the brand’s continued commitment to St. George’s as a trading location.

Haute Dolci is currently undertaking a refresh of its existing St. George’s store, with works due to be completed next month. The refresh will include the addition of an external kiosk, further enhancing the customer experience and strengthening the operator’s presence at the centre.

The continued investment from existing operators reflects the collaborative approach being taken at St. George’s, with the centre working closely with tenants to support their businesses, improve their individual offers and continually enhance the overall customer experience and appeal of the scheme.

Toby Smith, managing partner at Axis Capital Partners, said: “St. George’s is an important centre for us, and we’re incredibly proud to see it reach 100% occupancy. New brands such as Wingstop and Juice’n More joining the scheme, alongside existing businesses investing and expanding, strongly endorses the centre and its relevance within Harrow. We are delighted to see businesses continuing to invest in St. George’s and look forward to building on these partnerships and this momentum.”

Together, these openings and investments mean St. George’s Shopping Centre is now fully let – a notable achievement at a time when many UK town centres continue to grapple with vacancy pressures.

Leasing partnership renewed

The news comes as Axis Capital Partners confirms the renewal of its leasing agency agreement with JLL UK Retail at St. George’s Shopping Centre, Harrow.

With the centre now 100% occupied, Axis Capital Partners continues to work closely with JLL to deliver its asset management strategy, evolve the tenant mix, and identify further opportunities to enhance the customer offer and drive long-term value at the scheme.

Gerry Martin, director at Axis Capital Partners, said:  “We are absolutely delighted to see St. George’s reach 100% occupancy. It’s a real testament to the strength of the scheme and the hard work that’s gone into shaping the right tenant mix for Harrow. To welcome a brand of Wingstop’s calibre, alongside Juice’n More, and to see existing partners like Tikka Nation and McDonald’s reinvesting in their units, shows real confidence in St. George’s and in Harrow town centre more widely. We’re incredibly proud of what’s been achieved here, and it’s a great platform to build on as we continue to evolve the centre’s offer.”

“Importantly, reaching 100% occupancy is not the end of the journey. We are continuing to work closely with all of our retailers to support their businesses and identify opportunities to enhance St. George’s as a destination for customers. Whether through new openings, store investment, refreshed concepts or improvements to the wider customer experience, we want to ensure the centre continues to evolve and remains an important part of Harrow town centre.”
