Moss Bros signals confidence in power of performance marketing – formalises relationship with MediaVision

MediaVision, the award-winning search performance agency redefining SEO, has been selected by Moss Bros to lead its organic search strategy as the formal wear specialist accelerates its ambitious growth plans. The appointment comes after a successful three month trial which saw a 112% year-on-year growth in organic traffic.

Under the new agreement, MediaVision will deliver a full suite of services for Moss Bros including SEO, content and digital PR to build the brand’s organic performance.

The partnership comes at a key time for the retailer. After introducing its new casual wear range, Moss Bros wanted to extend its brand visibility to its ideal customer demographic by focusing on targeted, digital channels. MediaVision was tasked with increasing traffic, revenue, and awareness in a crowded marketplace, whilst still staying relevant to its formal wear audience.

MediaVision over-delivered during the trial period, more than matching the retailer’s ambitious goals using a beta version of Metis, its unique SEO growth platform, twinned with clear content and digital PR strategies. Success led to the immediate extension of the contract.

The Moss Bros teams will gain access to the newest version of MediaVision’s Metis as part of the search expert’s “technology plus people”, organic first approach. The ground-breaking tech stack was launched in October and will allow Moss Bros to anticipate and respond to consumer trends four times faster than leading competitors, through demand-led insight.

Metis will help the Moss Bros spot search demand early, thereby optimising onsite revenue and integrating all search marketing channels into one streamlined strategy. Additionally, it will also provide a much-needed bridge between the SEO, PPC, and wider marketing and merchandising team for e-commerce, unleashing the potential for insight-led growth in rankings and revenue while helping keep search cannibalisation to a minimum.

MediaVision’s success with Moss Bros has already received industry recognition by making the shortlist in the ‘Best use of search – fashion (large)’ category at the forthcoming UK Search Awards.

Andrew Roscoe, head of brand & creative at Moss Bros, says: “From our short trial with MediaVision we quickly realised that they are the right partner for the next stage in our growth story. We know that there is a significant renaissance in demand for formalwear and MediaVision have shown that they can put us front and centre of that demand, driving customers to our channels!”

Matthew Platts, managing partner at MediaVision, comments: “In the current difficult trading conditions, prioritising investment in SEO can give brands a competitive advantage in a crowded marketplace. The results from our initial trial for Moss Bros speak for themselves, and we are confident that via our unique “technology plus people” approach to SEO will ensure that one of the UK’s best-known names in menswear will continue to thrive.”
