Activia teams up with Rachel Stevens to help Brits beat post summer blues

Are you struggling to get back into a healthy routine post the summer blues? Chances are you feel the same as many across the nation right now. With September signalling the incoming of autumn, and with back to work and school routines commencing post summer, getting back in the swing of a healthy routine can be challenging both mentally and physically.

Research from leading gut health yoghurt brand, Activia, has revealed that nearly a quarter (24%) of Brits feel their health and wellbeing worsens as summer ends and over a quarter (27%) struggle to get back into good routines post the busy summer period. The findings also show that 37% want to get into better routines to improve their overall wellbeing.

As part of Activia’s new A-Z campaign, which seeks to raise awareness of the role our gut health plays when it comes to overall wellbeing, the brand has teamed up with pop sensation and S Club icon, Rachel Stevens, to inspire people to look after themselves from the inside out and bring Activia’s mission to the masses on how we can all do more to support our gut health.

This is particularly significant as while 89% of people consider their gut health important when it comes to supporting their health and wellbeing, nearly half (47%) don’t know where to start when it comes to looking after their gut health yet almost a quarter of the nation (24%) admit they would like more support in this area.

As a busy career woman and mum of two, Rachel knows first hand how important it is to make our wellbeing a priority as she shares in an exclusive campaign video available HERE, with exercise, staying active and getting ample rest and sleep in as some of the ways she looks after her wellbeing.

Rachel Stevens comments: “What many people don’t know is that the gut can impact so much. Exercise such as dancing and going to the gym, managing stress levels and eating a balanced diet are my go-tos in supporting my gut health especially with our upcoming S Club tour. We now know how much our gut health impacts our overall wellbeing, so I’m delighted to be partnering with Activia to raise awareness on the importance of gut health.”

Rachel Wright, Danone UK&I’s head of marketing, says:“We are delighted to be partnering with pop sensation Rachel Stevens on our campaign to raise awareness around the importance of gut health. As the Autumn season draws in and life becomes hectic with the return to work and school after summer breaks, we want to encourage people as they head into this busy period to remember to take the time to look after themselves, starting from the inside out. Feeling good starts from the inside out, and this starts with taking care of your gut.”

Activia wants to encourage people as they head into this busy period to remember to take the time to look after themselves, starting from the inside out. Start by looking after your gut health every day. The gut is where it all begins after all!
