Morrisons is bringing even more festive magic to its younger customers this Christmas by giving away over 27 tonnes of carrots, perfect for those preparing a Christmas Eve treat for Rudolph.
Helping families to honour the age-old tradition, little shoppers at Morrisons can pick up a British carrot forfree from the ‘Naturally Wonky’ range. While these carrots may be slightly unusual in shape or size, they are just as tasty as regular produce and perfect for Rudolph and his friends to chomp on. The ongoing tradition of leaving food out for Father Christmas and his merry herd of reindeers continues to play a big part in the excitement for families across the UK. Families will be able to pick them up at the front of stores from 20th December until Christmas Eve, whilst stocks last.
Chris Smith, Root Veg Senior Trader at Morrisons, said: “Christmas is all about spreading joy and cheer, so we’re delighted to offer our younger customers a free wonky carrot to leave out for Rudolph and his friends on Christmas Eve. Our Naturally Wonky range supports British farmers, reduces waste and gives customers a great-value option that still tastes fantastic.”
Since launching in 2015, Morrisons Naturally Wonky range has helped prevent thousands of tonnes of naturally wonderful fruit and veg going to waste. The range now features a variety of products from carrotsand courgettes to parsnips and potatoes, and has sold nearly 17,500 tonnes in the past year alone.
